This past week, members of Pafford's Marine Division joined firefighters, rescue personnel, and public safety professionals from across Arkansas for the Arkansas Fire Boat School.

Participants received hands-on training in marine firefighting, water rescue operations, boat handling, and emergency response techniques designed to help keep Arkansas waterways safe.

Training opportunities like these strengthen partnerships between agencies and ensure responders are prepared to answer the call when emergencies happen on the water. We are proud of our Marine Rescue Paramedics and team members who continue to pursue advanced training and expand their skills in service to our communities.

A special thank you to the instructors, organizers, and partner agencies who made this outstanding training experience possible. Your dedication to public safety and professional development helps make all of us stronger and better prepared.

Please join us in congratulating Ty Ledbetter on his recent promotion to Director of Operations in Northern Arkansas at Pafford Medical Services.

With more than 21 years of experience in emergency medical services and public safety, Ty brings a wealth of operational knowledge, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to serving both the communities and the personnel under his leadership. Since joining Pafford Medical Services four years ago, he has been instrumental in the continued growth and success of our Northwest Arkansas operations, building a strong foundation for the future while maintaining a focus on exceptional service and patient care.

Before joining Pafford, Ty oversaw EMS operations for the Conway Fire Department and developed extensive experience as a paramedic, rescue specialist, and special operations leader. Throughout his career, he has served with several specialized response organizations, including Arkansas Task Force One, the Arkansas Helicopter Rescue Team, and Pafford’s Incident Management Team. His disaster response experience spans some of the largest emergencies of the past decade, including multiple hurricane deployments, tornado response operations, and flood recovery efforts across the country.

Ty is known for his commitment to honesty, integrity, and professionalism. He believes success begins with investing in people and ensuring teams have the resources, support, and training needed to excel. That philosophy has helped foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service throughout the operations he oversees.

During his time as an Operations Manager, Pafford’s Northwest Arkansas Region was recognized as Department/Region of the Year in 2025, reflecting the hard work of the teams he helped lead and develop. Today, as the new Director of Operations for Northern Arkansas, Ty will continue to focus on strengthening operations, supporting personnel, and ensuring the communities we serve receive the highest level of care.

Congratulations, Ty, on this well-deserved promotion. We look forward to your continued leadership and the positive impact you will make across the Northern Arkansas region.

Today, had the opportunity to provide CPR and First Aid training for 40 coaches from the Lake Hamilton School District, helping equip them with the knowledge and confidence to respond when emergencies happen.

From the classroom to the sidelines, preparation matters and we’re always grateful for the opportunity to partner with our local schools and support those who make a difference in students’ lives every day. 💙
