Jesus cares about your safety, too. ❤️🩹✝️
Jesus never asked us to call abuse, manipulation, or unsafe situations “love.”
There are times when people in positions of spiritual authority may tell us to “just forgive,” “submit,” “keep the peace,” or “reconcile.” But we are also called to use wisdom and discernment.
-Forgiveness does not mean giving someone continued access to hurt you.
-Reconciliation requires repentance, accountability, and genuine change, and setting a boundary does not mean you are walking away from God.
Jesus cares about your heart, but He also cares about your safety, your dignity, and your well-being!
Sometimes loving someone means creating distance, Sometimes forgiveness happens without reconciliation. And sometimes the most Christ-centered thing you can do is say:
“I love you, but I will no longer participate in what is harming me.”
Don't allow someone's interpretation of Scripture to silence the wisdom God has given you.
Pray. Seek wise counsel. Pay attention to
patterns, not promises. Look for fruit, not just words. And use discernment.
Because God does not require you to remain in an unsafe environment to prove that you are a forgiving Christian. ❤️🩹
“The wise see danger and take refuge.” Proverbs 22:3
