Times like this can make you feel robbed, forgetten, and even a sense of shame. There is an invitation to a belief that God delights in your suffering and pain. Questions of “why” may try to taunt you and a day that is labeled with a title you long for seems to deepen the dagger in your heart. God does not delight in your pain. He is El Roi and He sees you, even in suffering from the sin in this world, He is with you and His timing is perfect.

I want to send you a different invitation today, you may choose to decline and take space away from social media due to the painful reminders of an unanswered prayer and that is totally fine and in a lot of cases it is wise.
The other invitation is for you to step into more hope.

I would love for mothers in the comment to share their stories of waiting, and testimony of how God showed up with their miracle to encourage another woman out there.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Motherhood is such a miraculous journey. From conception to postpartum, and every day you’re graced to nurture and grow a child. It’s truly a wonder.

I bet it has you in some deep thought and reflection. Maybe you’re considering your birth story, fertility journey, feeling the weight of a loss, or hoping to be apart to be apart of this group soon. Whether today is filling you with joy or maybe some disappointment and grief, I believe that a moment to worship God for who He is and what He has done (or will do) is necessary when we consider the miracle of motherhood. Whew, God is good!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

All of the beautiful sacrifices made by incredible women can often feel like it goes unnoticed and so a day like today is so wonderful because it stops us in our tracks and allows us to acknowledge and admire you and I personally love that!

So I hope you enjoy this time of worship and you take today to reflect, recieve all of the love, and for those in need, take on some hope as well.

I know you’ve seen this statistic so much this week. I feel compelled to use this space to acknowledge that, but invite you to faith and not fear.

Black women are still 3 to 4 times more likely…that is heavy, but it’s a heavy truth. What also is true is that you have power. You CAN be heard and although it’s not easy which is unfortunate, I want you to be educated, aware, and prayerful.
I cannot promise this will make everything go perfectly, but it empowers you in a way that passivity will not.
This is a deeply rooted systemic issue, and it will take time but I am hopeful. I want you to be hopeful as well.
And while that reality is heavy, fear is not the answer, being informed, supported, and empowered is.

In this season of my life, I am walking boldly in my calling to serve, educate, and stand in the gap for women and families. My prayer is that every woman I encounter, and every family I support feels seen, heard, and equipped to advocate for herself and her baby.

You deserve safe, supported, and respectful care before, during, and after birth.

To the midwives, doulas, OBGYNs, birth workers, and advocates, thank you. Your work matters. Your voices matter. And the change you are fighting for does not go unnoticed.

Let’s continue to shift the narrative.
Let’s replace fear with knowledge.
Let’s make sure no woman walks this journey alone.

✨JESUS IS USING ME.✨
I wanted to wrap up 🌎 WORLD DOULA WEEK with reflection and gratitude. I felt pressure to show up big this week and in God’s kindness, He invited me to stillness and the opportunity to continue to do this honorable work.

So that’s what I did to celebrate this week.
If I had to say one thing it would be, that I absolutely would not be doing this work if not for Jesus CLEARLY calling me to it. That should be the mark for all of us. Is there fruit? Is God being glorified? Are you looking beyond yourself?

Every family. Every baby. Every opportunity.
It’s all to make the name of Jesus greater.

So thank you all for riding along with me. That’s for all of your love and support. Thank you to every client who has trusted me into your intimate and vulnerable spaces.

My prayer that as I do this and all the other things I am called to do, that the message with be the same.

That you feel loved, seen, and heard by God. That I am a vessel and a example of that. Even in my imperfections.

✨COMMUNITY BABY SHOWER UPDATE✨

Our initial goal is to serve at least 50 women.
Registration was full and closed within 2 hours. We received an overwhelming amount of requests to open up more spots.

Through the genorosity of my church family, our partners, and other donated items, and monetary donations, and support from you all, we opened up another (50)spots which closed in less than ‼️1 hour‼️.
⛔️REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED⛔️ but we hope to continue to raise support to be able to host this again and also provide necessary resources to those in need.
