Introducing Our Serenity & Spa Rest Wellness Program

As we welcomed the beginning of our busy September Activities Calendar, our Activity Director, Maria Villanueva, introduced a new program designed to bring comfort, relaxation, and meaningful wellness experiences to our residents at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake.

Serenity & Spa Rest Wellness Program

This program uses a gentle, person-centered approach in a calm and quiet environment. Residents are encouraged to participate at their own pace while enjoying:

Relaxation music
Aromatherapy
Gentle hair shampoo and care
Skin care with aromatic body lotion
A warm cup of lavender tea to complete the experience

Our goal is to provide a peaceful sensory experience that can help restless residents feel calm and comfortable, while also offering gentle support to residents who may feel anxious or fearful about showering.

By creating a relaxing atmosphere and focusing on familiar, soothing sensations, we hope to encourage greater comfort with personal care while promoting relaxation and restful sleep.

This special program is conducted by our Spa & Wellness Assistant, Rebecca Rodriguez, who provides each resident with patience, compassion, and a gentle touch.

At Apex Oaks at Clear Lake, we believe that quality of life is found in the little moments of comfort, dignity, connection, and care.

What an incredible way to end our Rock N’ Roll Spirit Week at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake!

For our grand finale, our residents and staff traveled back in time to the drive-in theater for a special movie night under the stars! They enjoyed watching Grease, munching on delicious popcorn, and soaking in the fun atmosphere of a classic drive-in experience. 🍿

Our residents and staff were absolutely delighted and proudly showed off their final Rock N’ Roll-inspired outfits of the week! The smiles, laughter, music, and excitement made this a night to remember!

What a wonderful week it has been! From creating our own instruments and Rock N’ Roll decorations to parades, dancing, birthday celebrations, Elvis entertainment, and finally a movie under the stars—we have created so many special moments, joyful memories, and meaningful connections together.

At Apex Oaks at Clear Lake, we love seeing our residents having fun, staying engaged, enjoying life, and making new memories with their Apex Oaks family! 🥰

ROCK N’ ROLL SPIRIT WEEK — DAY 4!

The Rock N’ Roll fun continued at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake with a special celebration for our August residents’ birthdays!

What better way to celebrate than with the King of Rock N’ Roll himself—Elvis Presley! Our residents had an amazing time enjoying an exciting Elvis show, singing along to favorite songs, dancing, and celebrating together. The backyard was filled with music, laughter, dancing, and so many happy smiles!

A very special THANK YOU to Carla Jones for the delicious birthday cake and for bringing such wonderful entertainment to our residents. Your kindness, generosity, and care mean so much to our community. We truly appreciate everything you do to bring joy and beautiful memories to our residents!

It was another unforgettable day filled with music, friendship, celebration, and Rock N’ Roll memories!

ROCK N’ ROLL SPIRIT WEEK — DAY 3!

ROCK N’ ROLL SPIRIT WEEK — DAY 2!

Our Rock N’ Roll Spirit Week continued with another fun-filled day at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake!

On Day 2, our residents continued getting creative as they worked on decorating their microphones, drums, and Rock N’ Roll instruments.

One of our residents, Doyle, took his time carefully drawing his very own Rock N’ Roll guitar using a sketcher. We love seeing our residents express their creativity, take their time, and enjoy the process of creating something special!

And because August 25th was National Banana Split Day, we ended our afternoon with a delicious Banana Split Social! Our residents enjoyed sweet treats, great company, and lots of smiles.

Our wonderful staff continued to ROCK the week by dressing in their favorite Rock N’ Roll decade-inspired outfits!

What a wonderful day filled with creativity, music, reminiscing, socialization, and lots of fun! We can’t wait to see what Day 3 brings!

ROCK N’ ROLL SPIRIT WEEK — DAY 1!

Last week, our residents and staff at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake kicked off an unforgettable Rock N’ Roll Spirit Week!

For Day 1, our residents got creative and had a blast making their own microphones and drums! These hands-on activities gave everyone an opportunity to learn something new while bringing back wonderful memories of their favorite Rock N’ Roll music and the good old days.

Our amazing staff joined in on the fun by wearing their favorite Rock N’ Roll T-shirts, adding even more energy and excitement to the day!

There’s nothing better than seeing our residents engaged, smiling, creating, and reminiscing through the power of music. Music can bring back special memories, encourage connection, and create moments of joy—and our Rock N’ Roll Spirit Week was all about making those moments together!
