Friday Awards Day marked the grand finale of our Cruise Ship Spirit Week at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake!

Our residents and staff had a wonderful time celebrating the final day of our exciting cruise adventure. The morning began with a fun game of Bingo on the deck, filled with laughter, friendly competition, and smiles all around.

In the afternoon, residents relaxed and enjoyed watching The Love Boat while savoring delicious popcorn, bringing the cruise experience to life. We concluded our unforgettable week with a special Awards Ceremony, recognizing participation, enthusiasm, and the many joyful memories created throughout the week.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this Cruise Ship Spirit Week such a success. A special thank you to Darren Kloesel, our Executive Director, for his continued support of our Community Center and resident programs.

Stay tuned! Maria Villanueva, our Activities Director, has more exciting and memorable activities planned for the last week of June. We can’t wait to share what’s next!

Last week, during Day 4 of our Cruise Ship Spirit Week, our residents enjoyed a wonderful “Party at Sea” at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake!

The day was filled with fun and engaging cruise-themed activities. In the morning, residents had a great time creating colorful and creative fishbowl cups. The celebration continued in the afternoon as we honored our May birthday residents with a special birthday party.

The highlight of the afternoon was an amazing Elvis Presley tribute performance by Carla Ann Jones, who brought joy, music, and smiles to everyone in attendance.

A special thank you to Maria Torres from Magnolia Hospice for providing the beautiful birthday cake, and to Carla Jones for her wonderful entertainment. Your kindness and support helped make our Party at Sea a memorable celebration for our residents.

Thank you both for helping us create meaningful moments and lasting memories. We truly appreciate you!

Wednesday was Nautical Crew Day at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake during our Cruise Ship Spirit Week!

Our residents and staff enjoyed another exciting day filled with fun, fellowship, and adventure. We began the morning with a Seaside Choral Rehearsal and “Praise at the Sea” led by Chaplain Dan, creating a meaningful and uplifting start to the day.

In the afternoon, our cruise arrived in beautiful Cozumel! Residents learned about the island’s traditions and cuisine while experiencing the culture through engaging activities. We wrapped up the day with a fun bikini-themed competition, tropical music, and plenty of laughter and smiles.

A special thank you to Chaplain Dan from Essential Hospice & Palliative Care for leading our praise service and sharing music that made the day so special for our residents.

We would also like to thank our amazing residents and staff for their enthusiastic participation and for helping make our Cruise Ship Spirit Week such a memorable experience.

Tuesday was Tropical Island Day during our Cruise Ship Spirit Week at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake!

Our residents and staff enjoyed another fun-filled day with tropical-themed activities, energizing exercises, tropical crafts and entertaining videos that brought smiles and laughter to everyone. These special moments help create meaningful experiences, encourage engagement, and promote physical and emotional well-being for our residents.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our Tropical Island Day a wonderful success!

Day 2 of the morning Cruise Ship Spirit Week at Apex Oaks at Clear Lake!

Our residents and staff had a wonderful time enjoying “Exercise on the Deck,” led by Michelle Ayala from Essential Hospice & Palliative Care. The morning was filled with movement, laughter, and fun as everyone participated in exercises designed to promote wellness and engagement.

After exercising, residents cooled down and stayed refreshed with a variety of delicious flavored waters.
