Thinking about LASIK? 👁️✨ The most important first step is getting a thorough evaluation.

As Dr. Zaina Al-Mohtaseb, M.D. explains, you may need to leave your contact lenses out before your appointment because they can temporarily affect the shape of your cornea and impact the accuracy of your measurements.
It’s also important to come in with an open mind. LASIK isn’t always the best option for every patient, and your evaluation may reveal that another vision correction procedure is better suited for your eyes and goals.

The goal isn’t simply to get LASIK. It’s to find the right vision correction option for you. 💙

Screen time is part of everyday life, but your eyes definitely notice it. 💻

Spending long periods looking at screens can contribute to digital eye strain, leaving your eyes feeling tired, dry, irritated, or even temporarily blurry. One simple habit that can help is the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something at least 20 feet away for 20 seconds. 👁️

A few seconds away from the screen can give your eyes a much-needed break. 💙

What does the world look like through a different prescription? 👀👓

Even small changes in your prescription can make a noticeable difference in how clearly you see. Here is a visual representation of how vision can become increasingly blurry as refractive error increases.

Of course, everyone’s eyes are different, which is why finding the right prescription starts with a comprehensive eye exam. 👁️💙

Hear from Dr. Zaina Al-Mohtseb about lens technology. 👁️✨

With more choices than ever before, selecting a lens isn’t one-size-fits-all. Your eye health, lifestyle, and vision goals all play a role in determining which option may be right for you.

At WVG, we’re proud to stay at the forefront of new technology so we can continue providing personalized options for every patient. 💙
