Oh baby! 🍼💕💐

Last night, we had the sweetest time celebrating our very own Dr. Elissa and the precious little one on the way! It was such a fun evening filled with laughter, love, delicious food, and wonderful company. We are so excited for this next chapter in her life and can’t wait to meet her newest little blessing! 💗

For all of our wonderful patients, don’t worry, she’s not quite leaving us yet! Dr. Elissa will continue seeing patients through November 10, before heading off on maternity leave to enjoy some much-deserved time with her growing family. She is tentatively planning to return in mid-January.

💪 Muscle Is More Than Strength 💪

Dr. Hayden is excited to have been invited to participate in Standard Process’s upcoming GLP-1s and Beyond Virtual Symposium, joining a group of clinicians and educators exploring a whole-person approach to modern metabolic health.

For his portion of the symposium, Dr. Hayden was asked to teach on a topic that brings together several areas he’s passionate about:

“Muscle as Medicine: Endocrine Function, Myokines, and Exercise Prescription for Metabolic Health”

Most people think of muscle as something that helps the body move, lift, and stay strong.

But muscle is also an endocrine organ. 🧬

Every time muscles contract, they release chemical messengers called myokines that communicate with the rest of the body. In other words, muscle doesn’t just move the body—it talks to it.

Those signals can influence things that matter throughout life:

🩸 Blood sugar and insulin sensitivity
🔥 Metabolic health
💪 Maintaining muscle while losing weight
🧠 Inflammation and healthy aging
🍽️ Appetite and energy balance

This becomes especially important as conversations around GLP-1 medications and weight loss continue to grow.

Weight loss isn’t just about making the number on the scale smaller. Preserving muscle matters. And exercise isn’t simply a way to burn more calories—it creates signals throughout the body that can influence metabolic health.
That’s a much bigger conversation than “eat less and move more.”

Dr. Hayden is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this national symposium and share a perspective that is becoming increasingly important in metabolic health:
Muscle isn’t just along for the ride. It’s part of the conversation. 💪🧬

🎤 Ending the 2026 Speaking Tour at Home!

Dr. Hayden wrapped up his 2026 national speaking schedule for Standard Process today—and there couldn’t have been a better place to finish than right here in Houston, Texas. 🤠

This year’s Systems-Based Strategies for Endocrine Optimization seminar took Dr. Hayden across the country, with stops in:

🌵 Scottsdale, Arizona
🏔️ Salt Lake City, Utah
🌉 Emeryville, California
🏔️ Westminster, Colorado
🤠 Houston, Texas

Today’s Houston seminar was especially meaningful. Dr. Hayden had the opportunity to spend the day with local doctors, make some great new connections, and reconnect with friends and colleagues he has known since opening The Hayden Institute in 2009.

One of the best parts of teaching is getting to exchange ideas with other clinicians who are working every day to improve patient care. 🧠⚕️

A big thank-you to Standard Process for the opportunity to teach and connect with doctors around the country this year—and to everyone who attended one of Dr. Hayden’s 2026 seminars!

It was a great year on the road. ✈️📚

And an even better way to finish it—at home in Houston.

🌿 A New Approach to Supporting Natural GLP-1 Signaling

There’s a new product coming from Standard Process and MediHerb—and Dr. Hayden got an early look!

As a Standard Process speaker, Dr. Hayden was sent a couple of bottles of the new GLP-1 Bitter Complex ahead of its official release. Naturally, that meant it was time to dig into the formulation and the research behind it. 📚🌿
GLP-1 Bitter Complex combines concentrated extracts of Hops + Feverfew, two bitter herbs selected to interact with bitter-taste receptors involved in digestive and satiety signaling.

Why is that interesting? Bitter receptors aren’t found only on the tongue—they’re also present throughout the gastrointestinal tract, where they participate in signaling involving gut hormones such as GLP-1, CCK, and PYY. Early human research on standardized Hops extracts has reported effects on hunger, food cravings, food intake, and several of these satiety-related hormones. 🔬

One important distinction: this is not a natural version of a GLP-1 medication. Prescription GLP-1 drugs act directly on hormone receptors and have much stronger pharmacologic effects. This herbal formula is designed instead to support the body's own digestive and satiety-signaling pathways.

Dr. Hayden put together a full article explaining: 🌱 How bitter receptors work

🧠 How GLP-1 contributes to fullness and appetite signaling
🔬 What the human Hops research actually shows
🌿 Why Hops and Feverfew were combined
💊 How the formula differs from GLP-1 medications
📅 Preorders begin September 29
📦 Shipping begins October 13

Want to dig into the science before deciding whether this new formula makes sense for you? The full article is now available on The Hayden Institute website.

🎬 Watch the Quantum Neurology Documentary for FREE This Weekend!

The Quantum Neurology Nervous System Code documentary is streaming this weekend with two free virtual watch parties! 🍿

This project is especially meaningful to The Hayden Institute. In August 2025, while attending the Quantum Neurology Homecoming in Denver, Dr. Chase Hayden was interviewed for the documentary to share how Quantum Neurology has become part of his practice and provides a framework for helping patients improve nervous system function.

Dr. Hayden has studied and incorporated Quantum Neurology into patient care for nearly 20 years, so being invited to contribute to this documentary was an exciting opportunity to share some of that experience. 🧠⚡

And the journey continues! This October, Dr. Hayden will be heading to California for the Quantum Neurology Homecoming, demonstrating the powerful effects of neurological rehabilitation in supporting cardiovascular dysfunction.

📺 FREE Virtual Watch Parties 📅 Friday, August 28 at 7 PM PDT
📅 Saturday, August 29 at 12 PM PDT

The event also includes a live interactive Q&A and behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the documentary.

🍿 Grab some popcorn, choose a showing, and scan the QR code in the graphic to sign up and watch for free!

🩸 One of the Most Cost-Effective Health Screens?Routine Lab Work.

Dr. Hayden recently completed his yearly blood draw at Labcorp — not because something was “wrong,” but because prevention and early detection matter.

For roughly $250 self-pay (without involving insurance), routine lab testing can provide valuable insight into multiple areas of health, including:

🛡️ Immune system activity
🦋 Thyroid function
🩸 Anemia & oxygen transport
🍞 Blood sugar handling & diabetes risk
❤️ Cholesterol & cardiometabolic health
⚡ Electrolytes & hydration
☀️ Vitamin D status
💪 Magnesium and key nutrient levels

Many chronic health concerns begin with subtle imbalances long before major symptoms appear. Routine labs can help identify patterns early and provide objective data to guide lifestyle, nutrition, and clinical decision-making.

At The Hayden Institute, lab work is often used as a starting point — helping connect symptoms, physiology, and long-term health trends together in a more complete picture.

Health optimization is not just about reacting to disease. Sometimes it starts with paying attention before things become a problem.

Dr. Hayden wrapped up his most recent speaking tour in Denver today! 🎤✈️

Three weekends in a row—traveling through Salt Lake City ➡️ San Francisco ➡️ Denver—making a real impact along the way.

It was a whirlwind… but a meaningful one. 💨

Throughout the tour, doctors came together to:
🧠 Review real patient case studies
🔍 Uncover deeper clinical insights
🧩 Connect patterns across complex presentations

The foundation?

Supporting the body at its core with whole food-based nutrition from Standard Process 🌿

These weren’t just lectures—they were interactive, hands-on experiences designed to help clinicians think differently and care more effectively.

More events are on the horizon later this year:
📍 Baton Rouge
📍 Houston
💻 Online webinars

But for now… Dr. Hayden is looking forward to being back in the office and spending time with patients locally. 🏥
Education never stops—but it’s always good to be home.
