Knowing that someone is struggling is one thing. Knowing what to do next can make all the difference.

As part of HHCI’s work to expand practical mental health education into the community, we’ve launched an updated version of The 4 R’s of Mental Health Support©.

Designed to build a foundation for supporting others, The 4 R’s gives people a clear, practical framework for what to do when someone may need help:

* Recognize when someone may be struggling.
* Refer them to appropriate professional care.
* Relate through compassionate, meaningful connection.
* Restore by helping foster a supportive community.

The 4 R’s turns mental health knowledge into action, helping expand access to care by preparing more people to recognize needs and connect others to help. Take The 4 R’s Training: https://bit.ly/4hZnAf9

*ONE MONTH AWAY*

On October 1, NFL Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner Earl Campbell will share his powerful story of resilience, recovery, and the courage it takes to ask for help.

His story reminds us that mental health is part of every person’s health—and that access to compassionate care can change lives.
Your support of the Chrysalis Luncheon helps HHCI provide life-changing mental health programs and services at no cost to those who need them. Together, we can make hope and healing accessible to more people in our community.

Every act of support helps create greater access to mental health care.

Through Chrysalis, Hope and Healing Center & Institute brings together individuals, partners, and community leaders who believe everyone deserves access to mental health care. Support from this annual fundraiser helps make our work possible—from providing no-cost clinical and supportive services to advancing mental health education and community resources.

Last year, HHCI delivered 30,921 hours of direct clinical and supportive services, expanding access to compassionate mental health care and helping more individuals find hope, healing, and the support they needed.

Together, we're helping build a future where more people have access to the care, education, and support they need. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4fvHmMj

Creating greater access to mental health support begins by preparing more people to recognize concerns and respond with confidence.

Through its Gateway to Hope training program, Hope and Healing Center & Institute equips people with practical, evidence-based mental health skills that help prepare communities and expand access to support where it's needed most.

Today, more than 20,000 individuals have participated in HHCI's Gateway to Hope training program, creating a growing network of informed helpers who are better prepared to recognize concerns, respond with confidence, and connect people with appropriate resources.

When one person is equipped, families are supported, communities become stronger, and access to mental health care continues to grow.

Every school year brings new challenges—and supporting student mental health is one of the most important.

EMPOWER Schools was designed specifically for Texas schools, giving educators the practical, evidence-based skills they need to recognize concerns, support students, and connect families with appropriate resources.

The program also helps districts meet Texas mental health training requirements, making implementation simple, accessible, and ready for schools across the state.

Today's educators are expected to recognize concerns, support students, and connect families with appropriate resources. Schools deserve mental health training that's practical, effective, and ready to implement.

EMPOWER Schools earned the #2 overall ranking among leading school mental health literacy programs evaluated in the EMPOWER Schools Landscape Analysis, an independent review conducted by Westlake Health Consulting, LLC for Hope and Healing Center & Institute.

Out of 27 programs reviewed and 10 selected for detailed analysis, EMPOWER Schools received a score of 4.36 out of 5 across 25 implementation measures—reflecting a research-informed approach designed to help schools prepare educators with confidence.

Because when schools have the right tools, educators are better prepared—and students are better supported.
