"Being recognized at any capacity gives a moment of refocusing on the “why”. Working in this field can be filled with long days of work that might not feel impactful in the moment, but are meaningful in the long run. I always say I am simply just the one with the ideas, and it’s the RBTs that take that idea and make it real, and then of course the kids for executing and learning new things because of it.

So thank you to my fellow BCBAs for the support and collaboration to help me refine those ideas, thank you RBTs for implementing those ideas to make them a reality, and thank you to every single kid I have had the pleasure to supervise and program for, because they will always continue to solidify my “why”" -Shelby
