October is Manufacturing Month, and we want to recognize the people behind the production line, the ones who make it all happen every day.

Running a production line takes more than just pushing a button. It takes experience, attention to detail and the ability to spot a problem before it becomes one. From adjusting settings to keeping things running smoothly when the unexpected happens, the people on the floor make all the difference.
Here in Houston, we run our own production line, and we know firsthand how much skill, hard work and dedication it takes to keep things moving.

If you or someone you know is figuring out the next step in their career, manufacturing is worth a closer look. It’s hands-on, meaningful work with real opportunities to learn, grow and build a future.

Today is Manufacturing Day.

It started as a way to open the doors of manufacturing plants and give people, especially students, a chance to see what modern manufacturing actually looks like.

Not what it looked like in 1975.

We run our own production line here in Houston. Real machines. A real shop floor. And, most importantly, people who know how to run them.

That last part is becoming harder to take for granted in this country.

The challenge of rebuilding manufacturing capacity has never just been about buying the right equipment. It’s about finding skilled people, developing them, and giving them a reason to stay.

So today, a big thank-you to everyone who shows up, gets on the line, and keeps things moving.

Labor Day began as a celebration for working people, and manufacturing is one of the few places where you can still stand in a room and actually see the work happening.
On Navigation Blvd in Houston, a shift means a line that’s constantly moving, materials flowing, and people who can tell the difference between a good roll and a bad one.
That’s the heart of the job. It might not make flashy photos, but it’s more important than most things that do.
To everyone spending this weekend on the plant floor, and to the crews who’ll be back at it on Tuesday — thank you for all that you do.
