Freda May Hamilton, 79 of Portia passed away July 25, 2026, at the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born January 12, 1947, in Minturn, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Burrow Holder. She was united in marriage to Lee Don Hamilton on July 20, 2001. Freda worked as a CNA, as well as working at SKIL and worked as a cook at several restaurants. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing puzzle books, watching hummingbirds, watching and going to stockcar races, cooking, tending to her flowers, and mowing her yard. Freda was of the Baptist Belief.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded by five brothers, Ed Holder, Felix Holder, Gary Holder, Earl Chappel, and Raymond Chappel; and one sister, Anna Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Don Hamilton of the home; her Godchild, Michael Bellah of Mountain Home; her Godmother, Mary Dulaney of Hoxie; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Tim Campbell and Bro. Terry Spradlin officiating. Burial of her cremains will be private and held at a later date.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM til the time of service.
