Congratulations to our latest Cardiac Rehab Graduate, David Craig!

Completing cardiac rehab is more than reaching a milestone, it represents hard work, determination, and a commitment to a healthier future. We are incredibly proud to celebrate another patient completing the program at Lawrence Healthcare!

Here is what David had to say about his experience:

"Thanks so much to Angel, April and Abby for their time with me at the LMH Cardiac Rehab. I don't think my recovery progress from my recent heart attack and procedures would have been as successful without their help. I always felt better after my therapy on the days where I didn't feel like going. I am very thankful to have this program close to home in Lawrence County."

We are proud to introduce our latest BEE Award winner, Todd Ray! Todd is one of our dedicated Radiology Techs that tends to spread good vibes everywhere he goes.

Here is what a couple of his coworkers had to say about him:

“We had a patient who was seen and discharged from our ED with rib pain. The patient went to see his P*P, Dr. Spades, after his ED visit and was then sent over as an outpatient for a STAT CT PE study to rule out blood clots in his lungs. The patient was having trouble breathing and in so much pain he could not lay down for his test. Todd was the primary tech working with this patient and went out of his way to contact Respiratory to make sure his 02 was okay. After many attempts at getting this patient comfortable enough to lay down, the patient insisted he could not do it. Todd called Dr. Spades on his cell phone and they talked back and forth about what Dr. Spades wanted us to do with this patient since he was unable to complete the exam. Dr. Spades asked if Todd would take him back to the ED to be re-evaluated and to see about getting him medications to get him comfortable enough to lay down. Todd took the patient to an ED room and ensured he got checked in. The patient was given medications in the ED that allowed him to be able to lay down and get this STAT CT done. The exam showed the patient had bilateral PEs (blood clots in both lungs) and he was then transferred to another hospital where he was treated and kept in the ICU. Dr. Spades called the next day to personally thank Todd for all of his help and for playing a huge part in saving this patient’s life. We could have sent the patient away and just said he was unable to complete the exam, but Todd took the time to call Dr. Spades and ask what he suggested and he provided over-the-top care!”

“Todd pressed the automatic switch to open the doors 10 plus times for a man on wheelchair with a low battery in the ED. Todd even tried to push the wheelchair, but in the end Todd just held the doors open while the man started and stopped his chair probably 30 times.”

Thank you Todd for always going above and beyond for your patients!

Congratulations to our newest DAISY Award winner, ER Nurse Gary Wilson!

Gary was nominated by a fellow healthcare professional who witnessed firsthand the compassion and attentiveness he brings to his patients.

His nominator shared that Gary stood out because he anticipated the needs of both the patient and the care team before ever being asked. His calm, pleasant demeanor helped put the patient at ease, and his attentiveness never wavered. When the patient returned from a radiology procedure, Gary was immediately there to check on them and make sure they had everything they needed.

It’s often the seemingly simple moments; being present, anticipating a need, offering reassurance, and showing genuine compassion that make an extraordinary nurse.

Gary, thank you for providing the kind of compassionate, quality care that reflects the very best of Lawrence Healthcare. We are proud to have you on our team!

Please join us in congratulating Gary Wilson, RN, on this well-deserved DAISY Award!
