OCTOBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH - Jesse Domansky-Malak, Groundskeeping Team
Congratulations to Jesse for being October’s Employee of the Month. Jesse has been at Laurel Lake for about a year and a half. He brings experience in landscape construction, plant care and identification, and heavy machinery in caring for our community grounds. Jesse is always smiling. He takes initiative when the need arises, while also completing his regular duties accurately. He is great with any task he is given and a great problem solver. Thank you Jesse for all of your hard work!

CELEBRATING OUR DINING STAFF
We’d like to recognize Laurel Lake’s amazing Dining Staff during Healthcare Food Service Workers Week! They work so diligently every day - not only in 3 dining areas in our Independent and Assisted Living neighborhoods, but they also prepare and serve meals in our Crown Center Skilled Nursing & Rehab, and cater special events. As you sit down to a enjoy your meal, consider what goes on behind the scenes. Dining staff members manage large inventories, prepare tailored diets, manage food safety, and provide nutritious and delicious meals. They’re always coming up with new menu items, creative special event or fun themed offerings. Dining brings us together to socialize and share experiences as well as nourish the body.

LAUREL LAKE BLESSES PETS
In honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis Assisi last Friday, Chaplains Jon Dodson and Lynn Anderson of Laurel Lake’s Spiritual Life Department visited pets around campus offering special blessings. As you can see, our residents have many special furry friends!

SEPTEMBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH - Stephen Morris, Security Officer
Congratulations to Stephen for being September’s Employee of the Month. He has been at Laurel Lake since 2020. His desire to help people started early. While growing up he gained volunteer experience with seniors, often accompanying his Dad, a social worker at Stow Glen Retirement Community. Stephen also completed his Eagle Scout project - building raised garden beds - for another senior facility. He is currently studying Cyber Criminology at Kent State and has participated in Laurel Lake’s Staff Education Program.

Stephen goes above and beyond for our residents and his fellow team members. He is very knowledgeable and is a great educator when it comes to training new staff in the department. He is always helpful, kind, respectful, and very organized.

Thank you for being a great asset to Laurel Lake!

APPRECIATING OUR HOUSEKEEPING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES STAFF!
This week we are proud to recognize the work our hard-working cleaning, custodial and environmental services staff do all around Laurel Lake’s campus every day. These folks are on the front lines cleaning and tidying up private residences and providing laundry services as well as maintaining community areas -
vacuuming hallways, cleaning floors, washing windows, maintaining the grounds, and checking safety systems. We truly appreciate the way you keep our community clean, well maintained, and safe.
