Proud to have multiple Drug Free Moms and Babies programs in our coalition!

We are excited to share that the Drug Free Moms and Babies Program has been added to the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP) MCH Innovations Database as a Promising Practice.

https://bit.ly/amchp-dfmb

The database serves as a repository of "what's working" in the field of maternal and child health. It includes effective practices, programs, and strategies that are positively impacting this population. We are proud to be included on this list and share our framework with those seeking to develop programming for families affected by substance exposure.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to DFMB's success and expansion. We look forward to continuing our work to promote healthier outcomes for moms and babies.

đź’›October is National Opioid-Exposed Children Awareness Month.đź’›

Throughout this month, we’ll share education and resources about the 11 research-supported symptoms associated with prenatal opioid exposure—from developmental and sensory challenges to sleep difficulties, trauma responses, and academic struggles.

These children are SO MUCH MORE than the challenges they may face.
When caregivers, educators, and communities understand what opioid-exposed children may be experiencing, we can respond with greater understanding and support.

This month is about seeing, understanding, and supporting the whole child.
We hope you'll follow along!
