🎉 Breaking Ground on a New Community Recreation Area! 🎉

Exciting things are happening at Woodlands! Last week we broke ground on a new park-style shuffleboard court while also enhancing our croquet area with improved surfaces, expanded seating and better accessibility.

Together, these improvements will create a beautiful outdoor recreation and gathering space where residents can enjoy friendly competition and spend more time outdoors.

This resident-inspired project is just the beginning, with opportunities to add even more outdoor activities and amenities in the future.

From handcrafted pens and children's spinning tops to beautiful wooden bowls and even smartphone speakers, Woodlands resident Ervin Jones can create remarkable works of art from a simple piece of wood.

Ervin shared his talent with residents and staff this afternoon during a special woodworking demonstration, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship and skill that go into each of his handmade creations.

A familiar face throughout the Tri-State, Ervin creates all of his pieces in his workshop right here at Woodlands. His handcrafted items are also available for purchase in the Woodlands Gift Shop.

We were honored to once again host our annual Quilts of Valor ceremony at Woodlands, a heartfelt tradition that celebrates the service, sacrifice and dedication of our resident veterans.

In front of a full house of residents, family and friends, each veteran was individually recognized and honored with a beautiful handmade quilt. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt rendition of My Country, ’Tis of Thee.
