Special Needs Division, Ms. Kimberly Holyfield!

Salutations!
My name is Kimberly Holyfield. I am a graduate of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, where I obtained a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. At present, I am employed with Alabama Department of Mental Health Developmental Disabilities Division, where I serve as the Community Services Director. I have 17 years of experience in the field of Mental Health. As the Director, I navigate a comprehensive array of services and supports to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and their families, in the northern region of the state. It is my passion and desire to influence positive change for persons with Intellectual Disabilities and help them live freely among the community without stigma. Also, to assist the community by providing awareness and knowledge when interacting with the various disabilities and giving insight on how to successfully de-escalate crisis situations.

As a proud member of Hope Community Church, you will see me serving in different ministries; Hope Community Mass Choir, Praise Team, Drama Ministry, Outreach Ministry, and occasionally assisting with the Children’s Ministry. I am so excited to now be a part of E.M.B.R.A.C.E. Mental Health Ministry, looking forward to working with you!
