April holds so much weight in birth work 🤍
Cesarean Awareness Month. Black Maternal Health Week. Infertility Awareness. All reminders that outcomes still aren’t where they should be.

And this is exactly where midwifery care matters.

Evidence continues to show that midwifery-led care is associated with:
✨ lower cesarean rates
✨ fewer interventions
✨ higher patient satisfaction
✨ improved maternal & neonatal outcomes

For Black women especially—who are still 2–3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes—access to respectful, relationship-centered, evidence-based care isn’t just “nice to have”… it’s lifesaving.

Midwives don’t just “catch babies.”
We protect physiology, center informed consent, and advocate in systems that weren’t built with all of us in mind.

The future isn’t more intervention.
It’s intentional, evidence-based, patient-centered care. ✨

My heart is soooo full!! ♥️✨ I spent the last 5 days with some of the most beautiful souls who I’m so excited to share the role of Nurse Midwife with. Learned to suture, catch some fake babies, place IUDs , etc… It’s such a surreal feeling to be living in answered prayers. Never would I have thought that my dreams would manifest into reality the way that they have… Now for the real baby catching 🤗🤰🏽♥️✨

This is the joy they don’t always show you.

Black mamas cradling life, holding strength, and nurturing futures with every heartbeat.
We are the legacy. The protectors. The givers of life.

In a world that often tries to silence or forget us—this is proof that we are still here, thriving in love and power.

Let this be a reminder: Black maternal health is about survival—but it’s also about celebration, softness, and sacred connection.

Tag a Black mama you love. Honor her. Uplift her.
