🎉 Congratulations to our May Student Scholar Athletes of the Month, Rebecca Hillman and Luke Martin! 🎉

Rebecca, a senior at Buckhorn High School, exemplifies excellence both in the classroom and beyond. Ranked in the top 10% of her class with a 4.23 GPA, she balances rigorous AP and dual enrollment coursework with an incredible cheerleading career that includes 8 State Championships, 4 UCA National Championships, and numerous All-Star titles. Her dedication to service through tutoring, volunteering, and caring for her special-needs brothers makes her an outstanding role model.

Luke, a standout student-athlete at Arab High School, maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA while excelling as a baseball team captain and earning multiple All-Area honors. Recognized among Alabama’s Top Class of 2026 baseball prospects, Luke has signed with Covenant College and earned an academic scholarship. His leadership extends beyond the field through his involvement in National Beta Club, FCA, and mentoring younger athletes.

Molly Treen continues to raise the bar in academics, athletics, and leadership. With a remarkable 5.0 GPA at Grissom High School, Molly is a National Champion cheerleader, UCA All-American, National Merit Finalist, and future University of Minnesota student-athlete. We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Dr. Jack Moore, a cherished member of the SportsMED family.

Dr. Moore served our community with compassion and dedication for more than 27 years, touching countless lives through his care and commitment to his patients. He passed away on May 1, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

His legacy of excellence in orthopedic care and the kindness he showed to every patient will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by our physicians, staff, and the many individuals and families he cared for over the years.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Moore’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

👏Congratulations to our March Scholar Athlete of the Month winners Beriley Burgess and Stephen "Luke" Ramos.

Briley Burgess is a Priceville High School student-athlete with a 4.3 GPA who has been actively involved in majorette, competitive baton twirling, varsity tennis, and band. She also participates in leadership organizations, academic honor societies, 100+ community service hours, and dual enrollment, and plans to attend Auburn University.

Stephen “Luke” Ramos is a Holy Spirit High School student-athlete with a 3.5 GPA, 80+ community hours, recognized for his leadership in football and achievements in track and field. He has committed to the University of Alabama Adapted Athletics Team and plans to pursue Kinesiology and Physical Therapy to help others overcome physical challenges.
