DID YOU KNOW?
Research suggests that Black women often experience menopause symptoms differently—and in many cases, more intensely—than women from other racial and ethnic groups.
Black women are more likely to experience:
🔥 More frequent and severe hot flashes
😴 More sleep disturbances
🧠 Increased symptoms of anxiety and depression
❤️ A greater impact on overall quality of life
Yet despite these realities, many women are still told that their symptoms are “just part of aging” or are left without the information and support they deserve.
The good news?
There are things we can do.
✅ Learn about the signs and symptoms of perimenopause and menopause
✅ Advocate for ourselves during medical appointments
✅ Prioritize sleep, movement, stress management, and nutrition
✅ Connect with supportive communities that understand the journey
✅ Seek guidance from qualified health and menopause professionals
Most importantly, know this:
You are not imagining it.
You are not overreacting.
And you do not have to navigate this season alone.
The more we talk about menopause, the more we normalize it—and the more empowered women become.
