Meet Kellen Blankenship, LMSW!

We’re excited to have Kellen as part of the C² Counseling team!

Before becoming a therapist, Kellen spent over a decade as a teacher, giving him a unique understanding of the challenges kids, teens, and young adults face at school, at home, and as they grow.

Kellen works with clients ages 7–30 and incorporates art-informed and creative approaches into therapy—providing another way to explore thoughts and emotions when words don’t always come easily. And no artistic ability is required!

Kellen can provide support with:

🌿 Self-esteem & confidence
🌿 Screen & technology overuse
🌿 School & social challenges
🌿 Emotional expression
🌿 Life transitions

Kellen is currently accepting new clients for in-person appointments in Huntsville and accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Nurture Your Creative Soul Tiny Retreat
June 13 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Immerse yourself in a whole day of creativity. It includes 4 class sessions, lunch, a supply swap, and more!

Imagine having the whole day to just be creative. This day is packed with opportunities to unblock your creativity, try new things, enjoy a warm and relaxed atmosphere, and receive creative guidance from someone who will encourage you and help you find and nurture your own creativity.

This experience begins on Saturday, June 13 at 9 am, doors open at 8:30am.

Our retreat space includes a beautiful outdoor “classroom” as well as stations inside the lovely historic home where you’ll be able to find a cozy corner to write or draw. There’s also a swap room, where you can trade any supplies you would like to bring for something new to you!

We are Clay & Meagan Coppage- the owners of C² Counseling. We get asked how we work together being married.

The truth?

We are intentional about our marriage and use the same Gottman Method tools we teach our clients.

No couple is perfect. We are human. We will get frustrated with each other or misunderstand each other but we know how to repair and process those moments so that it doesn’t lead to resentment.

It also helps that we are truly best friends. We enjoy each other’s company and look forward to lunchtime together in the middle of the work day.

We love what we do and feel encouraged by each other’s passion to serve our individual clients and couples.

It’s hard to believe it’s almost been one year since a dream became a reality. Clay and I have dreamed of operating out of an actual home for our therapy practice. We want everyone who enters to feel that this is a space that embodies home: safe, warm, personal and comfortable. This 1900 beauty was everything we dreamed and more.

We don’t take for granted how meaningful our work is. Sitting with people who trust us with their deepest vulnerabilities is an absolute privilege.

Looking forward to many years of sharing this home with our community. đź’ś

We loved hosting Huntsville Music’s Scenes benefit concert for their new initiative to connect local musicians to mental healthcare called Of Sound Mind. We are one of the growing providers in this new network being formed as well as Healing Sounds Music Therapy
