Cancer survivorship is not always a straight line.
Some days feel stronger than others. Some feel uncertain. And many are made up of small, quiet moments that help people keep moving forward — a walk outside, a shared meal, a reassuring follow-up visit, or simply having people who continue showing up along the way.
During Cancer Survivors Month, we honor the strength, resilience, and stories of survivors and the families who walk beside them through every stage of care and recovery.
Thank you to the patients, caregivers, loved ones, and healthcare teams who continue supporting one another in ways both big and small.

Coming home from the hospital often brings relief, but it can also come with a lot of questions.

What happens next?
Who helps with medications?
What if walking still feels difficult?
How often will someone check in?

Home health services are designed to help patients recover safely and comfortably at home while supporting independence along the way. Skilled nursing, therapy services, patient education, and care coordination can all help make recovery after an illness, surgery, or hospital stay feel a little more manageable.

In our newest blog, we're sharing what families can expect from home health care, who may qualify, and how these services can help ease the transition home.

We hope this guide helps families feel more informed, prepared, and supported during recovery at home.

Some afternoons just have a way of slowing things down in the best possible way.

Last week, we spent time sharing live music with residents at Brookdale Pocatello, Brookdale Chubbuck, and Gateway Skilled Nursing Facility. There were familiar songs, quiet moments, a few smiles that appeared out of nowhere, and plenty of people who knew every word long before the first chorus started.

Music has a way of turning a room full of people into a community. It sparks memories, starts conversations, and gives everyone a reason to stay a little longer than they planned. Those moments of connection may seem simple, but they often become the moments people remember most.

Thank you to Brookdale Pocatello, Brookdale Chubbuck, and Gateway SNF for welcoming us. We always enjoy spending time with your residents and staff.

Moments like these are why Eden Health is passionate about supporting seniors and families through compassionate home health and hospice care.

A new week means more chances to gather, laugh, and spend time together with some familiar faces.

🎵 Monday, June 8 – Live Music at Gables Building 1 at 3:00 PM
🎲 Tuesday, June 9 – Bingo at Ashley Manor at 11:00 AM
🎲 Wednesday, June 10 – Bingo at SEICAA Housing at 1:30 PM

Whether it's music that gets everyone singing along or a bingo game that becomes unexpectedly competitive, these little moments have a way of bringing people together. The conversations, laughter, and connections made along the way are often the best part.

We’re looking forward to another great week in the community and hope to see plenty of smiles, friendly rivalries, and maybe a few lucky bingo winners.

Fresh air, safe movement, and familiar outdoor spaces can make a meaningful difference in everyday wellness.
For many seniors, spending time outside is not only about exercise. It can support confidence, emotional well-being, routine, and connection to the world around them.
A short walk, sunlight through the trees, sitting on the porch, or simply enjoying a quiet moment outdoors can bring comfort in ways that may seem small, but matter deeply.
World Environment Day is a reminder that supportive environments can help people feel calmer, safer, and more connected in everyday life.

A lot of men are good at keeping up with everything around them — the house projects, the truck maintenance, everyone else’s appointments — while quietly putting their own health on the back burner.
Preventive care matters, even when you feel fine. Regular check-ins can help catch concerns like high blood pressure, diabetes, and other health conditions earlier, often before symptoms become harder to ignore.
Sometimes taking care of your health looks simpler than people expect:
Taking a walk.
Scheduling the appointment.
Checking blood pressure regularly.
Paying attention to changes in energy, sleep, or stress.
Small habits and routine care can make a meaningful difference over time.
Men’s Health Month is a reminder that taking care of yourself is not selfish — it helps you stay present for the people who count on you.

Sometimes memory changes are easy to explain. Other times, they show up more quietly at first , repeating a question, forgetting a routine, pulling away from conversations, or just seeming a little different than before.
For many families, the hardest part is not knowing what is normal, when to be concerned, or how to start the conversation in a way that feels supportive and respectful.
Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month is a reminder that support matters not only for those experiencing memory changes, but also for the spouses, adult children, friends, and caregivers walking alongside them.
Compassionate care often starts with small things: patience, reassurance, familiar routines, and helping someone feel safe and supported in everyday life.
If you’ve started noticing memory changes in someone you love, talking with a primary care provider may help families better understand available support options.

Some of the best moments from last week weren't the big ones.

They were the conversations during nail painting, the songs everyone somehow knew by heart, and the Bingo games that got a little more competitive than expected.

We spent the week enjoying Music at The Gables, Nail Painting and Music Bingo at HACP Housing, Bingo at Cottonwood Cove Senior Housing, and Bingo at Ashley Manor Chubbuck.

Thank you to each of these communities for welcoming us and allowing us to spend time with your residents.

A new week of music, conversation, and community moments is coming up, and we’re looking forward to spending time with some familiar faces along the way.
This week’s upcoming visits:
Tuesday, June 2 — Brookdale Pocatello at 2:00 PM
Thursday, June 4 — Brookdale Chubbuck at 2:00 PM
Friday, June 5 — Gateway SNF at 1:30 PM
There is something special about how music brings people together. Sometimes it turns into dancing in the hallway, singing along to old favorites, or conversations that continue long after the last song ends.
We are grateful for the opportunity to spend time with residents, staff, families, and community partners throughout the week.

Coming home from the hospital sounds like the hard part is over, but a lot of families find that’s actually when things get more complicated.
There’s usually a lot happening at once — new medications, discharge papers, follow-up appointments, and instructions that don’t always feel easy to sort through once you’re finally home and trying to rest.
It can feel like you’re expected to just “know what to do next,” and honestly, that’s not always realistic.
Home health care is meant to help take some of that pressure off. A nurse or therapist coming to the home can help keep recovery on track, make sure medications are being taken correctly, check on healing, and help with things like strength, balance, and safety around the house.
It also gives families someone to call when they’re unsure about something instead of having to guess or worry alone.
Recovery doesn’t really follow a straight line, and it definitely doesn’t end at discharge. Having support at home can make that transition feel a little more manageable.
