🕯️ A Wave of Light: Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Ceremony

Some lives are measured in years. Others in weeks, days, hours, or moments but every life leaves an imprint. 🤍

On October 15th, Midwest Sister Circle invites families and our community to join us for A Wave of Light, an evening dedicated to honoring and remembering babies gone too soon.

Together, we will pause, say their names, light candles in their memory, and hold space for the love and grief that continues long after loss.

The evening will include light refreshments, a candle-lighting ceremony, and remembrance bags for families to take home.

A new month means more opportunities to educate, empower, connect, and support mothers throughout our community.

Here’s what’s happening with Midwest Sister Circle this August:

✨ The Mother’s Room | August 5th & 19th
A safe and supportive space for mothers to connect, be heard, and navigate motherhood together.

🤰🏾 Childbirth Education | Begins August 15th
Our new 5-week cohort is kicking off! Families will receive education, tools, and support to help them feel informed, prepared, and confident as they approach birth and postpartum.

🫶🏾 BYJ Group Prenatal Care
We’re continuing to show up alongside our community partners to support expecting mothers with education, connection, and access to resources throughout pregnancy.

🤱🏾 Black Breastfeeding Week Community Resource Fair with Melamama
We’ll be out in the community celebrating Black Breastfeeding Week, connecting families with resources, support, and information to help them thrive.

August is about showing up, building community, and making sure mothers know they don’t have to navigate pregnancy, postpartum, or motherhood alone.

We’re excited for another month of doing what we love—building the village, one mother and one family at a time. 💜
