Breast Cancer Awareness Month may be coming to an end, but prioritizing your breast health is important year-round. đź©·

Mammograms can help detect breast cancer before symptoms appear, when more treatment options may be available. Knowing your body and recognizing changes is also important. Talk with your doctor about any breast changes and when to begin screening based on your age, family history and personal risk factors.

Watch the video to learn from Surgical Oncologist, Kory Jones, MD, about the importance of breast health, screening, and early detection.

Every breath counts, and respiratory therapists help make lifesaving care possible. During Respiratory Care Week, Medical City Healthcare joins our broader HCA Healthcare network to recognize the important role respiratory therapists (RTs) play in caring for patients and supporting care teams.

With specialized training in lung and respiratory care, RTs provide expert care during critical moments — from emergency care and intensive care to recovery and ongoing support.

As part of HCA Healthcare, RTs collaborate with care teams across a network that supported approximately 47 million patient encounters in 2025, including 10 million emergency room visits. Through their clinical skill, compassion and collaboration, they help care for patients when it matters most.

To our RTs across HCA Healthcare, thank you for the specialized care you provide through critical moments.

For many people with blood cancer or other serious blood disorders, a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant can offer hope — and it often starts with a donor.

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), most patients who need a transplant don’t have a fully matched donor in their family and rely on NMDP (formerly Be The Match) to help find one. NMDP ℠ is a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy that helps save the lives of patients with blood cancers and disorders.

As part of HCA Healthcare, we're proud to support this life-saving work through the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network — one of the nation's leading providers of unrelated bone marrow donor transplants in the U.S. Each year, this extensive network helps connect tens of thousands of patients with the care they need.

You could be someone’s match. Learn more and join the registry at https://bit.ly/4Aw6Cvs.

Approximately 192,000 people will be diagnosed with blood cancer in the U.S. this year, according to the American Cancer Society.

Just in time for Blood Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Navneet Majhail explains common types of blood cancer, symptoms to watch for and when to talk with a doctor. Dr. Majhail is a hematologist and physician in chief of blood cancers for HCA Healthcare Sarah Cannon Cancer Network.

As part of our broader network of care, the HCA Healthcare Sarah Cannon Cancer Network connects patients across the U.S. and U.K. to expert oncology services, including 14 blood cancer treatment programs that make up the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network. Each year, more than 1,000 acute leukemia patients receive treatment through this network.
