In therapy and in life, these questions remind us that honesty can coexist with compassion. Truth spoken with intention can strengthen connection rather than harm it. If you have a hard truth to share and answered yes to all of these questions, speak up- even if you’re scared.

I once had a mentor at a job I really loved - someone I deeply respected and looked up to. He trained me for my position, but he always treated me as an equal.

Whenever I called him for advice, to process something, or to ask a question, he would listen, guide me, and then end the conversation the same way every time:
“Carry on,” (and then he would hang up, as if to say “back to work”).

It never felt dismissive. It felt steady.
To me, “carry on” meant something deeper.
It meant: Even when it’s hard, keep going.
It meant: One thing at a time.
It meant: You’re capable.
And it meant: I’m here when you need me.
That phrase stayed with me.

When I began building my counseling practice, I knew I wanted a name that reflected what I hope to offer. “Carry On Counseling” represents the heart of how I see this work. Life can feel overwhelming. Healing can feel heavy. But you don’t have to navigate it alone.
My hope is to be someone you can share your stories with. Someone who listens with care. Someone who walks alongside you and gently reminds you - at your pace, in your way - that even in the hardest seasons, you can carry on.
And I’ll be here with you along the way. 🌱
