β¨ End of an Era β¨ This week, I closed the doors to One Mind Yoga πππ©΅ππΌ
Nearly 10 years ago, I took a leap of faith and opened a yoga studio with a simple mission: to help people cultivate a healthy mind, body, and spirit while building a community rooted in encouragement, growth, and connection.
What I never could have imagined was how much that community would change me.
Over the years, I celebrated pregnancies, babies, marriages, retirements, new careers, healing, and fresh starts alongside so many incredible people. I also walked with students through loss, heartbreak, illness, and uncertainty. Somewhere along the way, students became friends, and friends became family.
One Mind Yoga wasn't just a business. It became a home.
My children grew up there too. Zoey (23), Gage (18), and Kylo (7Β½) have all spent countless hours within those walls. Zoey and Gage attended classes, helped behind the scenes, and supported me through every season of entrepreneurship. Kylo's entire life has been connected to OMYβfrom my pregnancy announcement to the little boy he is today.
For Kylo, One Mind Yoga wasn't just where Mom worked. It was home.
Watching him say goodbye this week was one of the hardest parts of closing this chapter.
As emotional as this transition has been, I keep coming back to one truth:
The studio was never the purpose. The people were.
The relationships.
The community.
The lives touched.
The memories created.
Those things don't disappear because a lease ends.
To my family, my students, my friends, and everyone who supported One Mind Yoga over the last nine yearsβthank you. You helped shape one of the most meaningful chapters of my life.
While the studio has closed, my work continues through , where I'll continue serving communities through paddleboarding, yoga, TRX training, wellness events, retreats, and new collaborations throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. πββοΈπ
The building may be gone, but the impact will stay with me forever β€οΈπ
