I WILL NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸

September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever.

I was on the mountain hunting bears when I heard what was happening. I’ll never forget that day or how quickly America changed.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost. We remember the families forever changed. We remember the first responders and heroes who ran toward danger.

We should also remember the failures that allowed it to happen and demand accountability from those we elect.

That’s why voting matters.

Presidents matter. Governors matter. Senators matter. Congress matters. But so do our state legislators, commissioners and local leaders.

If we want to protect this country and preserve our freedoms, we have to pay attention, learn the issues, hold our elected officials accountable and VOTE.

Term limits, responsible leadership and an engaged citizenry are all part of keeping government accountable to the people.

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET.

And today, as a small thank you, all first responders can come sit in my chair for a FREE PEMF session.

YOU CAN’T ALWAYS SEE RECOVERY.

We tend to look for the big moment.

The day everything is fixed.
The pain is gone.
The energy is back.
Life feels normal again.

But recovery doesn’t always happen that way.

Sometimes it’s quieter.

You slept a little better last night.

You got out of bed without dreading the day.

You walked a little farther.

You laughed and actually meant it.

You had enough energy to do something you enjoy.

You finally called someone and told them you weren’t doing okay.

You had a good day after a whole bunch of hard ones.

Those things matter.

Whether someone is recovering physically, mentally, or emotionally, progress doesn't always show on the outside.

And it certainly doesn't have to happen overnight.

I talk about consistency all the time at Magic Valley PEMF because I see people get discouraged when they expect everything to change immediately.

Bodies take time.

People take time.

Healing and recovery can take time.

PEMF can be one tool in an overall wellness and recovery routine, but sometimes the most important thing we can do is recognize the small victories and keep going.

So if you're making progress that nobody else can see...

YOU CAN’T SEE WHAT SOMEONE IS FIGHTING.

This one matters.

Because sometimes there are no obvious signs.

Someone can smile in a picture.
Laugh at your joke.
Go to work.
Take care of their kids.
Go to church.
Answer “I’m fine.”

And still be fighting one hell of a battle inside.

Depression doesn’t always look like sadness.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like panic.

Grief doesn’t always come with tears.

And someone who is struggling doesn’t always ask for help.

September is Su***de Prevention Month.

So check on your people.

Not with a quick “How are you?” as you walk by.

Actually check.

Sit down.
Call them.
Listen.
Pay attention when someone doesn’t seem like themselves.

And don't assume the strong person doesn't need somebody checking on them too.

Sometimes the people who spend their lives taking care of everyone else are the ones nobody thinks to ask.

And if YOU are the person struggling right now, please don't carry it alone.

Talk to somebody you trust. A friend. Family member. Pastor or church leader. Counselor. Doctor. Mental health professional.

YOU CAN’T SEE PAIN.

Pain doesn’t always come with a cast, a brace, crutches, or something you can point to.

Sometimes the person standing next to you is hurting every single day—and you’d never know it.

They still go to work.
They still take care of their family.
They still laugh.
They still show up.

Sometimes they’ve simply gotten really good at hiding it.

And pain isn't always physical.

Grief hurts.
Loneliness hurts.
Stress hurts.
Depression hurts.
Loss hurts.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and throughout this series I want us to remember something:

WE DON’T KNOW WHAT SOMEONE ELSE IS CARRYING.

So before we judge someone for being quiet, tired, distracted, irritable, withdrawn, or just “not themselves”...

maybe we give them some grace.

Maybe we ask, “Are you okay?”

And then actually listen to the answer.

At Magic Valley PEMF, I talk a lot about recovery and taking care of our bodies. PEMF can be one tool in an overall wellness routine, but it isn't a replacement for medical or mental health care.

Sometimes taking care of ourselves also means recognizing when we need help—and allowing somebody else to help carry the load.
