Each week this month, we will review a bit about what recovery is and how Jersey County ROSC supports it...

What Is Recovery?

Recovery is a process of change through which people improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and work toward reaching their full potential.

Recovery can look different for everyone. It may include treatment, peer support, counseling, medication, support groups, faith-based support, healthy relationships, or other pathways that help a person build a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Recovery isn't about being perfect. It's about progress, growth, and finding a path forward. Jersey County ROSC is happy to connect you to the resources that you need. 💜

September is National Recovery Month 💚🌼

At Koen Counseling & Wellness Center, we believe every person is worth recovery. Recovery isn’t always a straight line, it takes courage, support, patience, and often, starting again.

This month, we celebrate those in recovery, honor the people who walk alongside them, and remind anyone who may be struggling: hope is real, help is available, and recovery is possible.

Here’s to breaking stigma, celebrating progress, and supporting recovery in all its forms. 🌿

💜 There is no single path to recovery.

This National Recovery Month, IDHS is highlighting resources that help people find the treatment and support that works for them.

Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) combines medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone with individualized care to support people with opioid use disorder and reduce the risk of fatal overdose.

Through MAR NOW, people can connect directly with providers and access treatment options, including prescriptions by phone or same-day appointments when available.

📞 Call 833-234-6343 to connect with a care manager and explore treatment options for opioid and alcohol use disorders. Support is available 24/7.

Recovery is possible, and treatment can be part of the journey.
