๐ National Naloxone Awareness Day โ June 6 ๐
Today is National Naloxone Awareness Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about naloxone (NARCANยฎ/Padagisยฎ), a medication that reverses opioid overdoses and saves lives.
Naloxone is safe, easy to use, and available to anyone. You do not have to know someone who uses opioids to carry it. Having naloxone on hand could help save the life of a friend, family member, neighbor, or stranger.
Narcan can be found for FREE at the following locations in Jersey County during regular office hours:
- Jersey County Health Department
- Jerseyville Public Library
- Jersey County Sheriff's Office
- Salvation Army
- Got Faith
- Koen Counseling and Wellness Center
