What could happen when a child or teen gets the chance to try something they’ve never done before? 🌲

At Meramec Adventure Ranch, Foster Care Adventure Weekends create space for youth ages 7–17 in foster care to challenge themselves, build new skills and experience the outdoors alongside their peers and trained guides.

Youth can take on activities like climbing, boating and ropes courses while learning camp skills, cooking over an open fire and creating memories along the way.

Our Central Region team recently hosted a Trunk-or-Treat in partnership with Mid-Missouri Dental Center, bringing families together for an afternoon of festive fun, sweet treats and community connection!

We’re so grateful for community partners who help us create meaningful experiences for the children, teens and families we serve.

Homelessness doesn't always arrive slowly. For Chloe, it was a few days’ notice.

KVC Missouri's Empowering Youth Transition Program offers free housing for up to 18 months, weekly case management and real support toward independence for youth ages 16–21 in Springfield. No foster care requirement, no cost to the youth.

Depression isn’t always visible.
It doesn’t always look like sadness.
Sometimes it looks like exhaustion, silence, irritability or pulling away.

If someone in your life is struggling, your presence matters more than you may realize. You don’t need to have the perfect words or solutions. Simply checking in, listening without judgment and reminding them they’re not alone can make a real difference.
