August Spotlight Award Winner: Kaitlyn!

We may be a little late with this announcement, but this recognition is definitely worth the wait! Please join us in congratulating Kaitlyn, our August Spotlight Award Winner! 🎉

Kaitlyn was nominated for the incredible flexibility, dedication, and care she brings to CDD every day. Adjusting her schedule to provide job coaching support, stepping in wherever her team needs her, and taking on the responsibility of managing the CDD Market during a particularly busy season, Kaitlyn consistently goes above and beyond.

At one point, the CDD Market was receiving 40+ orders each week, and Kaitlyn helped keep everything organized, stocked, and running smoothly so individuals could continue accessing the resources they needed.

Her dependability, teamwork, and genuine care for the people we serve are wonderful examples of CDD’s values in action.

Congratulations, Kaitlyn! Thank you for everything you do to support our individuals, your coworkers, and CDD. We are so grateful to have you on our team! 💚

Kinbrook Takes on KC!

Kinbrook traded their usual routine for a day of exploring downtown Kansas City! The group hopped aboard the KC Streetcar, cruised through the city, and made their way to the Power & Light District for some fun, sightseeing, and time together.

From riding the streetcar to taking in all the energy of downtown, it was a great day of getting out, exploring KC, and making some memories along the way! ❤️💛

We love seeing our individuals out and about enjoying everything our city has to offer!

PALS 2 recently kicked off a Photography Club, giving everyone a chance to learn more about photography, practice their skills, and—most importantly—have some fun along the way.

From learning about the camera to figuring out what makes a great photo, the group is already getting creative and putting their own perspectives behind the lens. We can’t wait to see what they capture next!

Sometimes the best days are the simplest ones!

DSP Shanna spent the day with Emmett, Tameka, and Paul enjoying the beautiful weather at the park. They fed the ducks, took Paul's dog for a walk, and made the most of a relaxing afternoon together.

Last night the Summit Apts. had some special guests! 5 Soldiers from Ft. Leavenworth came to help individuals put together care packages for soldiers overseas. Residents had a great time talking with the soldiers, who were happy to answer all their questions 😊

We would like to thank our community partners at Commerce Bank, USI, Van Meter, Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish, LLC, and Enterprise, for holding collection drives to gather the items we put in the boxes!
