Our Grateful Gathering Brunch on June 6 was a special time to honor and celebrate the volunteers who pour into our participants through meals, mentorship, prayer, encouragement, classes, events, and countless acts of kindness that help make recovery possible every day. This video shares just a glimpse of the incredible ways our community shows up to love on others and remind them they are not alone.

Today we’re celebrating Sandy and her incredible milestone of 5 years in recovery! 🎉

A former Healing House participant, Sandy continues to give back by returning each year on her recovery anniversary to share her story, strength, hope, and the faith that transformed her life.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that recovery is possible, and her willingness to encourage others inspires participants to keep moving forward. We’re also proud of the loving mother she has become to Lillyinn and Michael.

Congratulations, Sandy! Thank you for continuing to shine a light for others and for remaining a cherished part of the Healing House family. 💜

Kelly, the Emily House Leader, works incredibly hard and is such a valued part of the Healing House family. She truly loves what she does, and it shows in the care and comfort she creates for others.

She recently helped make their beautiful outdoor space feel even more welcoming by adding plants that help keep the mosquitos away — such a thoughtful touch that everyone can enjoy. 🌿✨

💜 Celebrating Miki! 💜

Miki’s servant heart shines brightly at Healing House. Whether helping new participants find clothing, offering a warm welcome, or simply sharing a smile, she goes out of her way to make others feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to serve reflect the love of Jesus every day. We are grateful for the positive impact she continues to make and the encouragement she brings to everyone around her. Thank you, Miki, for being such a blessing to our community!

Recently, participants and volunteers came together to assemble nearly 2,000 Naloxone kits that will be distributed throughout our community. Each kit included the life-saving medication Naloxone, a respirator, and information about recovery resources.

A special thank you to the wonderful volunteer who helped organize the participants and keep the assembly line running smoothly.

What made the day especially powerful were the conversations that took place along the way. Many participants shared personal stories about how Naloxone had saved their lives or the lives of someone they love. Those reminders of hope, second chances, and lives restored made every kit assembled even more meaningful.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and be part of bringing hope and help to those who need it most. 💜

Recently, House Leader Terry Buckner took 25 men from our Cornerstone beginner's recovery home on an outing to the National WWI Museum and Memorial.

Experiences like these create opportunities for connection, conversation, and personal growth while helping participants build healthy, meaningful memories in recovery.

This awesome group of men are doing the hard work of taking back control of their lives and their futures. Every day, they are choosing recovery, embracing accountability, and building a foundation for lasting change.

We're grateful for leaders like Terry who invest their time and energy into creating moments that encourage, inspire, and remind our men that recovery is about building a full and rewarding life.
