Our seniors at the Elizabethport Community Center got their hands dirty for a great cause!🌳

In partnership with Groundwork Elizabeth, participants in our Senior Nutritional Program came together to plant a new tree in the community garden. The day was filled with teamwork, fresh air, and meaningful connections as everyone helped create a greener, healthier space for the neighborhood.

Thank you to Groundwork Elizabeth for helping make this special day possible and to all of the seniors who participated. We can't wait to watch this tree grow alongside our community!

Vision of Hope Recovery Center had an amazing day taking recovery to the great outdoors! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, build lasting relationships, and being in a community with one another.

Social events like these remind us that recovery is not something we have to do alone. Community is one of the most powerful tools in overcoming addiction and sustaining long-term recovery.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Prevention Links was proud to attend the Leveraging Community Partnership with Stakeholders Networking Breakfast at Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church in Plainfield, NJ, organized by Eric Graham and the Graham Management Group. Since 2009, this group has created a welcoming space for community partners to connect and collaborate.

During the event, our Mike Schmitt, Peer Recovery Specialist for our RMC Central Program, participated in a Mental Health Awareness Performance led by the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, Inc. We were also grateful for outreach support from Melissa Carrasquillo, Outreach Coordinator for Recovery Support Services.

Thank you to everyone involved for continuing to strengthen community partnerships and promote mental health awareness.

Last week at the Atlantic County Stigma Free Event, Prevention Links had the opportunity to connect with fellow community leaders and advocates who are committed to reducing stigma and strengthening recovery and wellness supports across New Jersey.

Pictured from left to right are Laura Rhodes of Angels in Motion, Madison Fauci of Outreach Discovery Institute, and Jesse Dariano of Prevention Links.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to come together, share resources, strengthen partnerships, and continue important conversations that help build more supportive and stigma-free communities.

We had the opportunity to visit Rise Up Recovery Center in Roselle and meet with team members from the Recovery Management Check-Up Program, Union County STAR Case Management, Prevention Connections Case Management, LEAD Program, and more. Conversations throughout the visit centered on the values that guide our work every day: accessibility, compassion, community, and lived experience. These principles remain at the heart of our mission as we work to reduce barriers, honor diverse experiences, and strengthen recovery support throughout the communities we serve.

During a recent visit to the Elizabethport Community Center in Elizabeth, we connected with team members leading a wide range of impactful programs, including the Community Garden, Senior Food Nutrition & Security Program, Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE), Strengthening Families initiative, and Case Management services.

Through educational opportunities, wellness programming, recreational activities, and self-sufficiency supports, the center continues to empower individuals and families of all ages to stay engaged, connected, and supported within their community.
