🌟 Celebrating Growth, Leadership, and Purpose at Navion Senior Solutions! 🌟

At Navion, we believe in investing in our team members and creating opportunities for growth that ultimately enhance the lives of our residents. Today, we are proud to recognize two outstanding individuals who exemplify that commitment.

Congratulations to Andrea, our Life Enrichment Director, who recently earned her Certified Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT) credential. In May, Andrea facilitated her first Advanced Alzheimer's and Dementia Care training, helping more than 20 team members take the next step toward becoming Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDPs).

We also celebrate Executive Director Shemeka Graves, whose leadership and dedication to developing others continue to make a lasting impact. As an LPN and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Shemeka is passionate about helping team members grow and achieve their professional goals.

Andrea has dedicated more than 20 years to senior living, including the last five years at Richland Square Memory Care. Her passion for serving seniors shines through in everything she does. As Andrea shares:

"Serving seniors is more than a privilege; it's my purpose. In a world where we all seek meaning, I am thankful to have found mine by bringing comfort, compassion, and joy to those who have paved the way for us."

Today, we celebrate not only Andrea and Shemeka, but also the incredible leaders and team members throughout Navion Nation who inspire growth, lead with compassion, and make our communities stronger every day. Their dedication to residents, families, and one another is what makes Navion such a special place to live, work, and thrive.

Residents in our Pathways To Discovery home enjoyed a fun “magnetic fishing” activity designed to support sensory engagement and fine motor skills while listening to favorite hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s at Northstar Square. Activities like this matter because they encourage meaningful participation, comfort, and connection in a familiar and enjoyable way. We love seeing residents engaged, smiling, and sharing moments together through music and hands-on experiences.

Hands-on activities at Northstar Square in our Pathways to Discovery program keep residents engaged, active, and having fun each day. From measuring with tape measures and solving mazes to artwork, word searches, Bingo with friends, and special visits with Mindy and Mia, these moments encourage connection, creativity, and joyful interaction throughout our community.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, show support, and honor those affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We are proud to support our residents and families with compassion, understanding, and meaningful moments of connection each day. Together, we can continue to spread awareness, education, and hope within our community.

Recently, we enjoyed a wonderful Veteran Meet and Greet brunch filled with fellowship, gratitude, and meaningful conversation. A special thank you to Tapestry Hospice and Heather Alexander with Heather Cares Medicare for helping make the morning so memorable. We are deeply grateful to our veterans and to all who have served for their dedication and sacrifice.

There is always something fun happening at Northstar Square, from live music with Ken in our Pathways to Discovery neighborhood to exciting Bingo games filled with laughter and friendly competition. We also enjoyed celebrating Mr. Tony for being named Employee of the Month, a well-deserved recognition for someone who brings so much joy to our community each day. Moments like these create connection, engagement, and meaningful experiences for both residents and families, and we would love for you to come see the fun for yourself in Kennesaw.
