Server – Department of Dining Services
Friends Home in Kennett, a senior living community in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania is seeking
dining room servers for its Dining Services department. Full time positions are available (37.5
hours/week). Hours are 7a – 2:30p, 5 days/week. Every other weekend required.. Our small,
home-like facility is considering applicants who are resident-centered and who value being part
of a team. EOE
Requirements:
 Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully to residents and fellow staff
members
 Ability to sweep and mop floors
 Ability to handle food, glassware, china and flatware in keeping with sanitation
standards
 Ability to follow instructions and guidelines such as are found in the diet manual
 Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
 Ability to work day shift 7a – 2:30p and every other weekend
 Team player and willing to assist co-workers
 Willingness to take direction
 Ability to perform tasks in accordance with PA Departments of Health and Human
Services regulations
 Ability to perform tasks in accordance with Friends Home in Kennett/Linden Hall policies
and procedures
 Good listening skills
 Kindness, compassion and patience
 Dedication to resident care and desire to have a positive impact in the lives of our
residents
