Here's what we know about our birthday star ⭐:
Ketchup? Hard pass. She has standards and ketchup simply does not meet them.
Flamin' Hot Cheetos? Now THAT'S a different story. The spicier the better!
She is made for sunshine-filled days - warm, bright, and full of good energy wherever she goes. She brings the perfect balance of calm energy and playful fun to everything she does... though the coffee may deserve some credit too ☕

"Say hi!" "Say thank you!" "Say please!" - sound familiar?

Almost every parent has done this, and it comes from such a good place. But in speech therapy, we often suggest a small shift that makes a big difference: modeling language instead of prompting kids to repeat it.

As we wrap up speech and hearing month I want to show the glow up the speech office got this month too!
When we moved into the space a year ago, we put so much effort into making all of the treatment rooms, the gym and the waiting room fun and beautiful. They had pictures on the walls, colorful rugs and the cutest wallpaper. But the speech office and turned into a blab catch all space. Not the vibe we are going for.

So with a goal to make the space feel calm, adult, and oh so cozy - we called on the fantastic marymantheidesigns to help make it a reality. Please look at these before and after shots.

Eye contact is ONE way humans connect - not the only way, and not the most important way. Forcing eye contact can be deeply uncomfortable, especially for autistic kids. We measure connection by engagement, joy, and shared attention - not by where your child is looking. Listening doesn't require eyes.
