What a wonderful way to kick off National Assisted Living Week – “Shining Through the Years!” 🌟

A huge THANK YOU to all of our families and friends who joined us today for our Grandparents Day brunch! We loved seeing everyone together, celebrating the special grandparents who bring so much love, wisdom, and joy into our lives. 💕

One of the highlights was our “Paint a Hug” activity! 🎨👕 Our residents gave their grandchildren and loved ones a colorful hug, creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake they can treasure forever. There’s nothing quite like having Grandma or Grandpa’s hug to hold onto. 🥰

Thank you for making today so special and helping us start National Assisted Living Week with lots of smiles, laughter, hugs, and beautiful memories!

Everyone had a blast mixing and choosing their favorite scents to create something special to take back to their rooms or gift to loved ones.

It started with a draft…

And now, we’re officially introducing the NationAL Football League at The Philomena.

32 NFL teams. 32 resident owners. 2 Conferences. 8 divisions. One entire season.

32 residents each drafted an NFL franchise, and for the next 23 weeks, they’re following their team through every win, loss, rivalry, upset and run toward the playoffs. They are the franchise owners.

We’ve built the board. We’ve learned our divisions. We’ve studied our teams. And judging by the questions we’re already getting around here…

our owners are INVESTED. 😂🏈

Thank you so much, Shawna, for surprising us with the wonderful Goosestavia from Lithuania! 🇱🇹 She has officially made herself at home at The Philomena, and we absolutely LOVE her! 😂💕

Goosestavia is already bringing lots of smiles, laughs, and personality to our community. She makes such a fun and wonderful addition to The Philomena family! 🥰

We truly appreciate thoughtful community partners like Shawna and Aspen Hospice who always find special ways to bring a little extra joy to our residents and staff. 💜

We’re kicking off National Assisted Living Week at The Philomena with a very special Grandparents Day Celebration!

Families are invited to join us for delicious food, lots of love, and a special keepsake activity — “Paint a Hug!” ❤️

Bring your own white T-shirt or sweatshirt, and we’ll help create a one-of-a-kind keepsake using Grandma or Grandpa’s painted arms and a BIG hug — so you can always have their hug with you. 🥹❤️

Our residents had an incredible time visiting the Commemorative Air Force Central Texas Wing Museum! ✈️🇺🇸

From seeing historic airplanes and fascinating WWII relics to sharing their own stories and memories, this trip brought history to life in the best way possible. ❤️

Some of our residents had so many stories to tell about WWII and the world they grew up in—it was truly special watching them reminisce, laugh, and share those memories with each other. 🥰
