Serenity House Assisted Living reminds our seniors, families, and caregivers that extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for older adults.

💧 Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🏠 Stay Cool: Remain indoors in air conditioning whenever possible.
👕 Dress Light: Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing.
🚫 Avoid Outdoor Heat: Limit strenuous activities and direct sun exposure during the hottest parts of the day.

We had such great conversation over a fresh cup of coffee with our Mayor Rick Helton. It was wonderful sharing ideas to better our beautiful city of La Porte. The casual comfortable setting was welcoming to anyone with new ideas for our loving and growing community. Building La Porte together. One cup, one conversation, one great idea at a time!
