Recovery Dharma is a peer-led path to recovery from addiction and compulsive behaviors, built around meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhist principles. Meetings typically include a short reading, guided meditation, and time to share.

You don’t need to be Buddhist. You don’t need meditation experience. Just show up.

Every Sunday, we audit every resource on Recovery Compass NH.

Every phone number. Every website. Every address. Every program.

Organizations close. Phone lines get disconnected. A directory that was accurate six months ago can send someone in crisis to a number that no longer works. When it comes to mental health, substance use, and veteran services, that isn’t a small problem. Someone reaching out for help might only make that call once.

So we check it every week. Mental health and SUD resources across all of New Hampshire, and veteran resources nationwide.

Know a resource we’re missing, or see something that’s changed? Message us. We’ll verify it and add it.

The Department of Veterans Affairs on Thursday announced a clinical trial to test whether injectable semaglutide, a GLP-1 drug widely prescribed for diabetes and weight loss can also treat alcohol abuse, a longstanding problem in the military and veteran community.

Excessive drinking has steadily plagued military culture, and in some instances, it has been tolerated or normalized.

GLP-1s can dampen cravings and early research suggests they might help with alcoholism and even other substance abuse issues, at least in the short term.

As we count down to the 2026 NHCORR Softball Tournament, we’re honored to recognize Chucky's Fight as one of the organizations that will benefit from the event’s net proceeds.
Chucky’s Fight is a New Hampshire nonprofit dedicated to helping knock out substance abuse through education, mentorship, family support, and community engagement. Their team visits schools, youth organizations, and communities to have honest conversations about the realities of addiction while connecting young people and families with the resources they need before a crisis occurs. They also mentor youth, support recovery initiatives, promote healthy lifestyles through positive activities, and help families navigate the challenges of substance use. Their mission is built on the belief that prevention, education, and community support can save lives—and that no one should have to face addiction alone.
Every team that registers, every sponsor who joins us, and every raffle ticket purchased helps organizations like Chucky’s Fight continue changing lives throughout New Hampshire.
