A few months ago, I asked myself a simple question:
How do I bring the same conversations, questions, and learning that happen in my exam room and classroom into the community?
That question became a commitment to show up every evening from June 1–5 and teach what I believe every adult should know about metabolism, hormones, prevention, and healthy aging.
I had no idea how many people would join.
I had no idea how many would engage.
I simply knew the information was needed.
The response has been incredible. Our medical student from California Health Sciences University - CHSU sharing his experience on culinary medicine/ beans and lentils was heartwarming!
Together, we have simplified:
• GLP-1 myths and facts
• Nutrition and metabolic health
• Exercise and strength training
• Cardiovascular health
• Muscle and bone health
• Motivation, consistency, and sustainable habits
And tonight, we tackle one of the most important—and misunderstood—topics in endocrinology:
Stress, cortisol, and the hormonal interplay that affects energy, weight, metabolism, sleep, and overall well-being.
The more we simplify complex hormone science, the more empowered we become to navigate misinformation and make better health decisions.
Tomorrow, we conclude with practical tools, testing, body composition, continuous glucose monitoring, laboratory interpretation, and how to have more meaningful conversations with your clinician.
