✨ Faces of TVG ✨

We're excited to introduce a new series designed to help you get to know the people behind The Veal Group.

First up is Dr. Amber Strub, DNP, PMHNP-BC. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Strub is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys with confidence and support.

While credentials tell part of the story, we believe meaningful connections are built by getting to know the person behind the profession. That's why we're kicking off Faces of TVG, a chance to learn a little more about our team, their interests, and what makes them who they are outside of the office.

Swipe through to learn more about Dr. Strub!

What question would you like us to ask in a future Faces of TVG spotlight?

Mental wellness isn't always built through major life changes. Often, it's found in the small moments throughout our day.

A quiet walk. Sitting outside for a few minutes. Taking a break between tasks. Spending time in a place that feels familiar and grounding.

As life gets busy, it's easy to overlook these moments. This week, we encourage you to identify one place or activity that helps you slow down and reset.

Where do you find a moment of calm?

Some weeks feel overwhelming before they’ve even begun.

When everything starts piling up at once, it can help to narrow your focus and come back to what’s directly in front of you. You don’t need to have next week, next month, or everything else figured out right now.

Progress doesn’t always happen all at once, and that’s okay.

Productivity is often measured by how much we accomplish, but rest plays an important role too.

Taking time to recharge doesn’t mean you’re falling behind. It helps support focus, emotional balance, and overall well-being in ways we don’t always notice right away.

You don’t have to earn rest by exhausting yourself first. Sometimes slowing down is exactly what helps you move forward more sustainably.

Not every week is going to feel productive or put-together.

There will be weeks where you’re just getting through the days, doing what you can with the energy you have, and that still counts. Progress doesn’t always look like big accomplishments. Sometimes it looks like showing up, even when things feel heavy or uncertain.

Let this be your reminder that what you did this week, whatever that looked like, was enough.

Sometimes it’s not just a “bad day.”

It can be hard to put words to what you’re feeling; whether it’s stress, frustration, burnout, or something you can’t quite pinpoint yet. Taking a moment to check in with yourself, even briefly, can help you better understand what’s going on beneath the surface. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Whatever you’re feeling, you’re allowed to acknowledge it.

New months can bring a quiet pressure to reset everything; to be more productive, more motivated, more “on track.”

But growth doesn’t usually come from starting over. It comes from continuing, adjusting, and showing up in small ways over time. There’s no rush to become a new version of yourself overnight.

Before moving into a new week, take a second to acknowledge that you got through this one.

Even if it didn’t look how you wanted, even if it felt heavy, you’re still here. That counts for more than we often give it credit for.

Our minds are constantly generating thoughts, but that doesn’t mean all of them are accurate or helpful.

Learning to step back and observe rather than immediately believe every thought can create space for clarity.

You are not every thought you have.

Today, we pause to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service.

Memorial Day can carry different meanings for different people: reflection, gratitude, grief, or a mix of it all.

However you spend the day, we invite you to take a moment to acknowledge the weight of it, and the lives remembered.
