It's ! πŸ’œ

This year's theme, "988 Reasons: Your reason is reason enough," reminds us that you don't have to be in crisis to reach out to the 988 Lifeline. Whatever you're facing, support is available.

Today, share what 988 means to you - whether it's reaching out for support, checking in on someone you care about, finding someone to talk to, or simply knowing that help is available when you need it.

Share your reason and help remind others that there's no wrong time to reach out to 988.

πŸŽ“ The University of Michigan recently announced a pilot program replacing first-semester freshman letter grades with a pass/no-credit system, citing concerns about student mental health and the pressures of transitioning to college.

Whether or not this approach becomes a broader trend, the conversation highlights an important reality: academic success and mental well-being are deeply connected.

At the Engage & Heal Foundation, we believe supporting mental health isn't about lowering standards. It's about creating environments where people can thrive, grow, and reach their full potential.

πŸ’š What are your thoughts? Can reducing pressure improve learning and well-being?

A pilot program aims to ease pressure on freshmen and help them adjust to demands of college.

In response to the heartbreaking loss of Lake Travis High School Football player Odin Hensley, we are offering two grief support groups on Thursday, September 3 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. These groups will provide safe, compassionate spaces to process emotions, share feelings, and connect with others who are walking through this loss.

Two groups will meet simultaneously: one for LTISDSchools students ages 14 and older, and one for adults supporting students. Whether you are grieving personally or helping a young person navigate their grief, you do not have to walk through this alone.
