Mental Health Awareness Month may be coming to a close, but the importance of mental health lasts all year long. 💚🧠

In rural communities, conversations around mental health can sometimes feel difficult to start. Stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional exhaustion often go unnoticed or untreated simply because people feel they have to “push through it” alone. 🌾

The truth is, mental health is just as important as physical health.

At River Valley Primary Care Services, we believe everyone deserves access to compassionate behavioral healthcare close to home. That’s why behavioral health providers are available at all RVPCS clinic locations to help support patients and families throughout our communities. 🏥

Seeking help is not weakness. Talking to someone, asking questions, and prioritizing your wellbeing can make a real difference. 🤝

Lynn Lemaster has served as a paramedic with Logan County EMS for approximately 15 years. Her dedication to helping others and serving her community through emergency care is truly appreciated 🚑

🌟 Roy Hall
Recognized by his wife, Autumn Hall, LPN at our Clarksville clinic

Roy Hall has served on the Lamar Fire Department since 2007 and has served as Fire Chief since May 28, 2021 🚨

We are thankful for the countless EMS professionals, firefighters, paramedics, and first responders who continue to protect and care for our communities every day. Your commitment, sacrifice, and service do not go unnoticed.

🚑 Today is EMS Recognition Day as part of National EMS Week

🩺We want to recognize and thank the EMS professionals who serve our communities day and night. These individuals respond during emergencies, provide lifesaving care, and show compassion during some of the hardest moments people experience.

Many EMS professionals are also family members of our RVPCS team, and today we are proud to spotlight a few of those special connections.

🌟 Special Spotlight: Daniel Rosson
Daniel Rosson, husband of Peggy Rosson, APRN, at our Ratcliff clinic, has worked as a Paramedic for both Franklin and Johnson Counties since 2008. Before becoming a licensed Paramedic, he also worked as an EMT, dedicating years of service to helping those in need throughout our River Valley area communities.

🌟 Special Spotlight: Marshall Gattis
Marshall Gattis, husband of Ashley Gattis, APRN, at Clarksville Community Health Center, is a Flight Paramedic for AirEvac 22 located in Clarksville and has worked in EMS for more than 30 years 🚁

Ashley shared:
“Everyone in EMS knows him and loves him! We can’t go anywhere without people recognizing him and wanting to talk to him. I tell him it’s like being married to a politician 😂 but even though he works so hard, he always has time for me and our five children! He’s an amazing paramedic but an even better husband and dad!”

We’re proud to continue serving Lamar students and families through the Lamar Wellness Center. 🧡🖤

Having healthcare available right on campus helps students get care for minor illnesses, injuries, and wellness visits while staying connected to the classroom.

We also love seeing Haley Duff, DNP caring for the community she grew up in as both a Lamar graduate and Warrior parent. Her connection to Lamar and passion for student care make her a wonderful part of the Wellness Center.

Thank you to Lamar Schools for continuing to prioritize the health and well-being of students and families.

Even more special—Haley is a Lamar graduate and Warrior parent, making her deeply connected to our schools and community. 🧡

🚨 HANTAVIRUS is making headlines right now, and it’s a good reminder that staying healthy starts with prevention.

Whether you’re traveling, camping, cleaning out storage spaces, or spending more time outdoors this season:

🐭 Avoid contact with rodent droppings or nesting areas
🌬️ Air out closed spaces before cleaning
🩺 Don’t ignore symptoms like fever, fatigue, or trouble breathing
