June is Alzheimer's & Brain Health Awareness Month! Here are a few simple ways to give your brain a little extra love this month:
🧩 Challenge it daily. Crosswords, card games, learning a new recipe - your brain loves novelty. Even a change in your normal routine counts.
🚶 Move your body. A walk around the block does more for your brain than you might think. Regular movement improves blood flow, mood, and memory.
😴 Take sleep seriously. Sleep is when your brain consolidates memories and clears out waste. It's doing real work while you rest.
🫐 Eat the colorful stuff. Berries, leafy greens, nuts, fish. Your brain runs on what you feed it.
📞 Call someone. Social connection is one of the strongest protective factors for brain health as we age. A good conversation is good medicine.
The best part? None of these require a major life overhaul. Small, consistent choices add up over time. 💛
