Halloween week got off to a festive start as Hamilton Arms Center residents gathered for a special Halloween themed fine arts class led by Jamie Hudson. The class was filled with creativity, laughter, and a little spooky fun!
Residents embraced the Halloween spirit by making adorable ghost pops and creating colorful lollipop pumpkins. With craft supplies in hand and imaginations running wild, everyone had the opportunity to express their creativity while enjoying the company of friends.

The ghost pops brought a touch of spooky sweetness to the activity, while the lollipop pumpkins added a cheerful burst of fall color. Residents worked together throughout the class, sharing ideas, offering helping hands, and encouraging one another as they brought their festive creations to life.

One of the most heartwarming parts of the day was seeing residents help each other along the way. Whether lending a hand with a craft or sharing a smile over a finished project, the group demonstrated that the best part of any activity is often the friendships and connections made along the way.
The Halloween fine arts class was a wonderful way to kick off the week, giving residents a chance to enjoy seasonal traditions, engage their creativity, and make special memories together.

With ghost pops and lollipop pumpkins complete, the Halloween fun is officially underway! Residents are looking forward to more festive activities and celebrations as they continue to enjoy all the excitement this spooktacular season has to offer.

A little creativity, a lot of teamwork, and plenty of Halloween spirit made fine arts class a BOO-tiful way to start the week!

Residents and staff at Hamilton Arms Center enjoyed a festive Oktoberfest celebration! The Celebration began with a taste of German tradition as everyone gathered to enjoy warm soft pretzels with a variety of mustards, paired with refreshing root b**r. Residents tested their luck, cheered one another on, and enjoyed some friendly competition playing the traditional 3-Dice German pub game. The game sparked laughter, conversation, and excitement as everyone joined in the Oktoberfest spirit. Staff enjoyed a day of "Don’t get caught with the German Tyrolean hat" as they passed it to the next staff member throughout the day. With tasty pretzels, delicious root b**r, and a lively German dice game, Oktoberfest was a delightful success! Residents and staff filled Hamilton Arms with a day of friendship, laughter, and a little German-inspired fun, proving that you don’t have to travel to Munich to experience the spirit of Oktoberfest,

Hamilton Arms Residents create moments of peace and connection, making a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Residents enjoyed playing the gentle, meditative sound of the Panda steel tongue drum. With its soft, resonant tones and simple playing technique, the Panda drum offers an accessible way to participate in music, expression, and the enjoyment of a calming sensory experience. The Panda Drum’s primary benefits center around calming the nervous system, reducing anxiety, stress regulating, and improving sleep quality through the physics of 432hz known as “Nature’s Frequency “sound and vibration. The Panda Drum uses a pentatonic scale, meaning there are no wrong notes, with a” No-Failure” scale. Each day the soft sounds ring through the halls allowing all residents to enjoy the calmness and simplicity the Panda Drum brings to the heart, mind, and soul.

It's feeling like FALL at Hamilton Arms Center! Residents, staff and families celebrated one of the season’s sweetest traditions- fresh apples! The activity was filled with delicious flavors, fond memories, and plenty of smiles, as residents transformed fresh apples into warm, fragrant applesauce. The aroma filled the room and brought back memories of autumn days and visiting various Lancaster County orchards and picking apples with family. Residents shared their favorite recipes- Apple dumplings, apple pies, apple crisps, apple muffins, and applesauce. Everyone enjoyed the taste of FALL! It gave residents an opportunity to socialize, reminisce and enjoy the simple pleasures that make the arrival of fall so special.

Community outreach takes many shapes, but few initiatives carry as much heart and enthusiasm as a local fundraiser organized by Hamilton Arms Center residents. Providing that compassion and community spirit have no age limit. Residents created a custom Wizard of OZ raffle basket to raise funds for the Cancer Society Co****le event in Lancaster County. Residents at Hamilton Arms chose the Cancer Society because many of their friends/peers have breast cancer and/or currently have cancer.
In the weeks leading up to the event, the Hamilton Arms activity room was bustling with energy. Residents, staff, and family members collaborated to design, and curate a Wizard of Oz themed basket. The basket contained OZ Wordsearch Books, Oz adult art books, OZ candy, OZ erasable colored pencils and pens and OZ game of lottery chances all wrapped in a "Toto" Basket with beautiful Wizard of Oz bows. Wrapping the basket gave residents a deep sense of purpose, turning daily activity hours into a collaboration mission of giving back.
Representing Hamilton Arms/Panacea Health Care was Senior Director of life Enrichment Kim Sangrey. Kim teamed up with Director of Sales, Legend Senior Living Michelle Young-Nell to Toss the Cause. The raffle baskets and co****le raised $18,000 dollars!
