No one wants to think of themselves as becoming frail, which is why maintaining strength, independence, purpose, and connection is so important as we age. Frailty is more than simply becoming expectedly weaker. It often involves a gradual decline not only in strength, balance, energy, and mobility, but even emotional well-being. Left unaddressed, isolation and inactivity can significantly contribute to depression, falls and hospitalizations, and a reduced quality of life.

As we celebrate nurse's week, we take a minute to thank everyone who works tirelessly to provide the highest possible care--with dignity and compassion--for each of our residents.
