Suncoast Family Medical Associates and Paxton Medical Management are proud to support the 12th Annual Marine Corps League Veterans Benefit Car, Truck & Jeep Show on Saturday, November 7.

Hurricane preparedness is about more than stocking up on supplies. Itโ€™s also making sure you have a safe way to leave if an evacuation becomes necessary.

For seniors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone who may not have reliable transportation, planning ahead is especially important.

Pinellas County offers transportation assistance during hurricane evacuations for residents who need help getting to a shelter. The County recommends registering well before a storm threatens our area rather than waiting until an evacuation order is issued.

A few important reminders:

โ€ข Transportation assistance is available for residents who need help evacuating
โ€ข Service animals are permitted at all shelters
โ€ข Pets are permitted only at designated shelters, so pet owners should include their animals in their evacuation plans
โ€ข Registration and planning should be completed before a storm is approaching
