Meet Ruth, a Systems Support Specialist for our IT Help Desk. đź’™
What Ruth enjoys most about her role is simple: helping people. She loves working through a problem, finding a solution and handing someone back a fully working solution.
When she sees someone she has helped around the hospital and they remember her, she says it feels good to know she made a difference.
Ruth’s Merrimack Health journey began in the kitchen, where she worked while also volunteering at the Help Desk. Her interest in computers goes back to high school, and that volunteer experience gave her the opportunity to turn that interest into a career.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Ruth says her heritage is an important part of who she is. She stays connected to her culture through family, food, music and dance, and says helping and supporting others are values she learned growing up.
