Michael David Stivers, age 33 of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away at Sellersburg Healthcare Center in Sellersburg, IN. He was born November 30, 1992, in Sparta, IL to William and Bonnie (Easton) Stivers.

He enjoyed listening to music and loved animals. His family could always gauge his mood by how he had arranged the furniture while they were gone. He had a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed.

Those left to remember Michael include: his three siblings- Amber Stewart and husband Brandon of Mt. Carmel, IL; Ashley Stivers of Lawrenceville, IL; and Nathan Stivers and wife Cassy of Lawrenceville, IL: and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Christopher Stivers.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with graveside services following at 1:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery of Vincennes, IN. All times are Central Standard Time (CST).

Tami Jo Kohlhause, age 57 of Bridgeport, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born August 3, 1968, in Lawrenceville, IL to Michael Allen Kohlhause and his wife Patricia Marie (Carey) Kohlhause.

Tami had a sweet spirit and loved her family. She had previously worked at Wal-Mart.

Family left to remember Tami include: her mother- Patricia Kohlhause of Bridgeport: five siblings- Amber Cogdill of Brownsburg, IN; Jill Kasinger and husband Greg of St. Francisville, IL; Andrea Kohlhause of Vincennes, IN; Michael Kohlhause and wife Sarah of Loveland, OH; and Lisa Kohlhause of Evansville, IN: and eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Kohlhause, and one brother-in-law, Andrew Cogdill.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery at a later date.

Mary L. Cox, age 98 of Olney, IL and formerly of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Helia Healthcare of Olney. She was born near Claremont, IL on September 15, 1927, to Francis and Edith (Crum) Phillips.

She married Leland Cox on February 15, 1949, and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2009.

Mary loved to crochet, complete piece quilts, and was a homemaker to her family. She had also done ironing for others for 50 years.

She is survived by: two grandsons- Michael Smith of Belleville, IL and Brian Smith of Lakeland, TN; two great-grandchildren- Nathan and Lillian Smith of Belleville, IL; one son-in-law- Henry Smith of St. Francisville, IL; and two nephews.

Those preceding her in death include: her parents- Francis and Edith Phillips; her husband- Leland Cox; one son- John Cox; and one daughter- Mary Lee Smith.

A visitation will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with graveside services to follow immediately in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.

Frances “Frankie” Darlene Spore

Frances “Frankie” Darlene Spore, age 61 of Vincennes, IN passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, IN. She was born September 10, 1964, in Lawrenceville, IL to Ray and Margaret (Condiff) Carie.

After graduating high school, Frankie worked for many years in the healthcare field. She had worked in Dr. Steven Ramsaran’s office and then at Good Samaritan Hospital as an Emergency Room Technician. She had a deep love for her family and cherished all the time she could with them…especially her grandchildren. She was also known to enjoy thrifting and yard sales. Frankie loved a bargain and finding unexpected treasures.

Those remaining to carry on her loving spirit include: her children- Nichole Simmons of Virginia Beach, VA; Nathan Spore and wife Tiffany of Clarksville, TN; Nestelle Spore and partner Michael Bryan of Terre Haute, IN; and Max Dejarnett of Vincennes, IN: ten beloved grandchildren: her partner of many years- Buddy Dejarnett of Vincennes, IN: one sister- Ellen Tewell and husband Steve of St. Francisville, IL: three sisters-in-law- Judy Dejarnett of Vincennes, IN, Janette Evans of Vincennes, IN, and Monica Carie of St. Francisville, IL: and one brother-in-law- Robert “Bob” Cook of St. Francisville, IL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents- Ray and Marge Carie; step-mother- Patty Carie; three brothers- Scotty Carie, Harold Carie, and Chuck Carie; one sister- Sharon Annette Cook; and one step-sister- Joann White.

A Celebration of Frankie’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the St. Francisville Christian Church from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with graveside rites to follow immediately at Oaklawn Cemetery.
