Simonsen Chiropractic, PC I was born and raised in Cherokee, Iowa and it was here that I met my husband, Patrick, who is a veterinarian at Le Mars Veterinary Clinic.

✨️Plymouth county's neuro-focused pediatric, prenatal, and family chiropractor✨️

https://pxdocs.com/nervous-system/the-hidden-impact-of-stress-on-healthy-babies/ Following our graduations in 2013, we moved to southwest Michigan, where I worked as an associate chiropractor and Patrick worked as an associate veterinarian. We welcomed our daughter, Lauren, in October 2014. From the time Lauren was born she has been benefiting from chiropractic care and I am proud to say that she is a happy healthy little girl. From a young age I knew I wanted to help people better their health. However, I did not know which direction I wanted to take in order to provide health care to the community. I worked in a pharmacy while in college and after seeing person after person come in to get pills for this and that (and pills for the side effects of the pills they were taking!) I knew there had to be a different way to help people restore their health. Prior to that I worked in a chiropractic office and witnessed people getting better without the use of medicine or surgery. After those job experiences I had my answer. I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Biology in the spring of 2009. Later that year I began my chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic in February 2013. As a student at Palmer I had the opportunity to help members of the Quad Cities and surrounding area. I was able to travel to Brazil for a clinic abroad program through Palmer College of Chiropractic. This gave me the opportunity to provide chiropractic care to those who would otherwise not have access to health care. While at Palmer I learned several techniques to better help people based on their area of complaint which include: Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson Drop, and Activator. I strive to help all persons of the community and find it important to provide chiropractic care to those of all ages.

One of the greatest privileges of being a perinatal and pediatric trained chiropractor is earning the trust of parents who choose me to care for their families. To be trusted with the health and well-being of their precious babies and children is an honor I will never take lightly.

“Wait… you adjust BABIES?!” 👀
Yes, and infant chiropractic care should look very different from what many people picture when they hear the word adjustment.
We’re talking gentle contact, specialized techniques, and an approach tailored to an infant’s size and developmental stage. Not the forceful movements or dramatic cracking sounds people often imagine.
In “The Well-Adjusted Family,” Dr. Lisa Geiger, D.C., featured in Pathways to Family Wellness magazine, explores the role of chiropractic care within family wellness.
Because caring for babies means understanding that they aren’t little adults. Their care should be specific to them, with appropriate training, technique, and clinical judgment.
And as always, parents deserve to understand what’s being done, why it’s being recommended, and what alternatives are available.
Send this to the person who still asks, “You adjust BABIES?!” 🤍
