West Central Behavioral Health was established in 1977 as the state-designated community mental health organization for lower Grafton (Upper Valley) and Sullivan Counties. With outpatient behavioral health cl

inics in Claremont, Lebanon and Newport, NH, our caring and compassionate clinicians offer individual, relationship, family and group therapy, and psychiatric care to clients of all ages for mental illness, substance use disorder, and crisis care. In addition to traditional therapeutic services, West Central’s Mobile Crisis Response team responds to mental health crises 24/7/365, including calls from police departments and local schools dealing with tragedy or loss. With our expert help, clients find new ways to deal with recurring problems, and learn new ways of handling negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We also help clients with severe and persistent mental illness work toward recovery and optimal health in all domains, including entering the workforce, activities of daily living, interpersonal functioning, and resilience. Comprehensive case management services provide a thorough therapeutic plan and community-based services to increase overall functioning, gain confidence and learn skills for managing difficult or emotional situations.
