Let's give a big shoutout to our June Employee of the Month here at Spring View Hospital, Gina Abell! 🎉

"Gina exemplifies excellence in patient care. She approaches each patient with compassion, attentiveness, and clinical thoroughness, ensuring not only that their medical needs are met but that they feel genuinely cared for during some of their most vulnerable moments. Her impact is evident through the frequent recognition and positive feedback she receives from patients and families.
Beyond the bedside, Gina quietly and consistently contributes to the strength and safety of our unit. She is proactive in identifying and bringing forward safety concerns, helping improve care processes and supporting a culture of accountability and excellence. Her willingness to speak up reflects both her professionalism and commitment to doing what is best for patients and staff."
"Gina is also an exceptional teammate. She supports her coworkers without seeking recognition, including stepping in to help carry additional responsibilities and picking up shifts during extended staff absences. She does this with humility and reliability, helping maintain stability and morale within the team."
"Gina’s compassion, teamwork, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to high-quality care make her incredibly deserving of Employee of the Month recognition. She represents the very best of nursing and makes a meaningful difference every day for both patients and colleagues."

Thank you, Gina, for your unwavering dedication, positive teamwork and incredible patient care! 🌟👏

Sleep and mental health are closely connected. When you don't get enough quality sleep, it can affect your mood, increase stress, and make it harder to cope with everyday challenges.

The good news is that prioritizing healthy sleep habits can support both your mental and physical well-being. Small changes to your routine can help improve sleep quality, boost your mood, and leave you feeling more prepared to take on the day.

Taking care of your sleep is an important part of taking care of your overall health.

You don’t have to have all the answers — just showing up can make a difference. Here are a few ways to start the conversation:

• Ask open-ended questions like, “How have you been feeling lately?”
• Listen without judgment or trying to fix everything
• Let them know you’re there for them
• Avoid minimizing their feelings (“it’ll be okay”)
• Encourage them to seek support if they need it

A simple message or conversation can mean more than you know. Remind someone they’re not alone. 💙
