If your horse experiences an emergency after hours on 06/02/26 we recommend transporting to OSU Equine Emergency and Critical Care Service located at 685 Vernon L Tharp St, Columbus OH 43210. It’s recommended you call them en route at (614) 292-6661.

Lebanon Equine Clinic no longer shares a phone system with Lebanon Small Animal Clinic, and there is no longer an option to “Press 1” for the small animal clinic.

Due to the ongoing winter storm and hazardous road conditions, the clinic will be closed tomorrow (Monday) for the safety of our vets and staff.
We will remain available for emergencies only.
Dr. Mullins will be on call for emergencies and triaging cases as needed.

If you have an urgent concern, please reach out and we will assist as safely as possible.

With the snowstorm on the way this weekend, we will be opening at 10:00 AM on Monday to give our staff extra time to arrive safely. 🌨️

We will still have a doctor on call throughout the weekend. Dr. McMinn will be triaging cases and helping determine what can be handled over the phone and what truly needs in-person care. Please understand that the safety of our doctors is also a priority, so only life-threatening emergencies will be seen in the field. We also encourage having a back-up hauling plan in case referral care is needed and road conditions prevent us from getting to you.

🚑 If you need to stock up on emergency meds like Banamine or Dorm Gel, give us a call before the weekend so we can set some aside for pick-up.

📋 Helpful winter tips from Dr. McMinn:
• Make your horse’s normal grain into a warm, wet mash
• Add salt or electrolytes to encourage drinking
• Keep clean, unfrozen water available at all times
• Offer plenty of hay to help maintain warmth and keep the GI tract moving
